At the other end of the table, Nathan remains in the wooden spoon position, with Dude and BigBadDod occupying the other relegation spots.

And after all the games yesterday, and before we enter the madness (from a fantasy perspective) that is the FA Cup, here's a snapshot that I think I want to cut out and keep - it's not something that happens very often, so bear with me while I enjoy myself here

Having being climbing the table steadily in recent weeks, Hogmeister (46 points so far this week) brushes aside the erstwhile leader Boltonboy (23) and surges to the top of the table :D A 23-point swing in the scores between the leading two, with Boltonboy suffering from no-shows from Hart and Clyne, while Hog benefitted from the Chelsea goals in that game at Spurs yesterday.

Hog leads Boltonboy by 18 points, meanwhile Jag (39 points) is very much still in the mix, just 21 points behind BB.

Highest score of the week (so far), though, goes to GeoffV with a massive 60 points, while Woody's 53 points move him up to fourth place (no prizes for guessing that these two have Harry Kane!).

Lowest scorer is nffc, who has suffered a lot recently mainly due to his Everton block defence. This week his return so far is just 19 points.

Updated table below before the weekend's games.

After my brief flirtation with the lead, Boltonboy is back out in front, leading me by 7. Jag remains third, with Woody and Tenpinterry a lot closer than they were a week ago.

Nathan remains last, although Dude's team as expected is falling steadily since he stopped managing it and seems destined to take the bottom spot this year. Those two teams are now a long way behind Bigbaddod in 10th.

Final table after the weekend's games, and Boltonboy regains the lead by 1 - although having made quite a few transfers already (think there's one or two still to declare??), he'll be watching closely the results of RVP's ankle scan.

So BB (39 points) leads me (43) by 1 point, but Jag (58) moves a lot closer. He's now just 22 off the lead and remains firmly in contention.

Highest score of the week goes to Bigbaddod with 61 (up 2 places), closely followed by Wiseowl with 60 (up 1), while the lowest score of 20 was from Dude's no-longer-managed team, which will inevitably soon be in last place. Nathan's 35 points is the second lowest this week - it means he will shortly overtake Dude, but the two of them have dropped further back from the main pack and seem destined to occupy two of the relegation spots at season-end.

Hog Eggs

Fabianski £2.3

Bertrand £2.7
Taylor £2.4

Fabregas £5.4
Downing £3.5
Hazard £5.8
Pelle £4.7  Sanchez £7.0
Costa £7.0
Rooney £6.8m  Aguero £7.5

Transfers Left: 13
Value of Team: £49.4m

Reasons for Transfers:
After sitting tight throughout the Christmas break, and currently (just about) leading... it's Aguero and (finally!) Sanchez time.
But a bit of a schoolboy error this weekend - I'd originally planned on bringing Chambers back in to replace Baines (to fund Aguero and Sanchez). Hadn't been paying attention  to last week's game where Chambers lost his place, even though Debuchy is out. So this morning I've gone for Van Aanholt instead, which I could have done yesterday. Only cost me a point, but still...

Current table shows BoltonBoy still out in front, currently 6 ahead of me. Jag right up there, just 26 off the lead, and Woody has made up some ground, now 43 behind BB. Transfers may yet be a factor - assuming everyone is up to date with their posting on here, BB has just 7 left, while Jag has 12, Woody 11 and me 13 (I will almost certainly be making another transfer this morning, once the Swansea team is announced).

At the bottom, Nathan has comfortably overhauled Dude's dead team, but the gap to 10th looks insurmountable.

And a quick word re the this year's cup competition - haven't been keeping tabs on this as I have in previous years, sorry!

But we are in great shape this year, with Tenpinterry through to February's semifinal, and Boltonboy this weekend replaying his quarterfinal against Topspur.

We are just three wins away from an all-Div 1 cup final

Well that tweak worked well - 10 points from Moses ensures I get the best score of the week (36) and open up a small gap at the top :D

So I lead Boltonboy by 13, with Jag 29 further back. Woody's getting closer all the time, now 9 behind Jag.

Lowest score of the week Geoffv with just 7, he drops to 10th.
