Identifying a plant

Had an egg at the bottom of a planter once.

Was taking the soil out ready to replant a couple of years ago and there was a biggish round thing in there. Looked like an egg so I gave it a bit of a squeeze (I know! - Big red button syndrome).

Burst, confirming that not only was it an egg, but from the stink of the stuff that sprayed right into my face it had been there a while as well.

Question is - how the eff did it get there. I definitely didn't plant it. Does anything that you might get in the garden go around burying eggs??

Was it from a Sea Turtle?

Well now you committed to growing it so we have an answer,

downside you will have to nurture and look after it - post updates and reports

On the upside if it is an Osier / Willow you can cut it down and make a cricket bat

When it flowers I will post another photo (but will hide the garden so you don't complain about the weeds)

Looks like it has reached it's max height of about 2ft and buds have appeared at the top
