Thanks for posting that one, it's a tune that I have always liked from back when it was played on Radio 1 a lot in the morning before I went to school. I could never remember what it was called. Cheers. :D

Plus Time Is Tight which also used to be the theme for the top twenty run down on the radio and whilst maybe not a single they also do the theme to Test Match Special.

One of my wife's favourites as well. One of the last Motown records with that unmistakeable 'Motown Sound'

I presume you mean Soul Limbo . It was a single, and a small hit in 1968 (no. 30). Green Onions is such a great track, amazing when you think it was made and originally released back in 1962 ! much too early for the UK public to appreciate it of course.

The late 50's & early 60's were littered with great instrumentals, here's a few:

Red River Rock - Johnny & The Hurricanes
Tequila - The Champs
Diamonds - Jet Harris & Tony Meehan

Quality with a capitol Q some of those ht ... :D ... always loved the video (and the tune too) of windowlicker. Plus donkey rhubarb, nice ...
Early days of didgerido (not even going to try ans spell it correct) and analogue bubblebath II, Aphex Twin was spot on with some vey advanced music.

Das boot - in my top 20 of films, which ofcourse is made to be better due to its music, though the main charcters in the film are played very very well.

The Cougars did it better, in my opinion.

Reminds me a bit of The Shadows. You can tell that with a title like Saturday night at the duck pond that there just cant be any lyrics

Two personal favourites by the Dave Brubeck Quartet:
(Dave Brubeck - piano, Paul Desmond - alto sax, Eugene Wright - bass, Joe Morello - drums)

Take Five (top ten in '61):
http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=DDOgYw5-pNs

Unsquare Dance (1962):
maybe others will have more luck in locating a decent video performance of this...
