Yes, you need to play the 12th man chip and have one of those as your 12th man. As later, I'm not convinced it's a good idea but it could pay off.

nope there's plenty of players who i think can match haaland. what i dont want is to have him when he has harder fixtures after the first one. so it saves a transfer

I’m also going for the Big Viking as 12th man in gameweek 1 and hoping I get lucky with my captain…..
I think one of the most difficult aspects of this game is who to choose as your captain and then deciding whether to stick or twist….
I usually get it wrong….

there's a graph youtubers are using to show you whether to stick or twist. i think it starts off at around 14pts and then drops away as you use up each captain choice....although dont quote me on this as i didnt take too much notice as i like to other peoples teams and see if my captain has a competitive score so didnt take much notice of the graph.

So Stick on 14 for first and be less fussy as we burn them, sounds sensible

There's no way id stick on 14 off the first match with all my premiums to play.

18 points from my captain is decent but there's no way i can stick on that with everyone else left to play. It wont look pretty captaining all my players before i get to the big hitters. Looks like Dest is the next one up to be captain and its hard to see him beating 18pts

Yep thats the thing it just looks like such a backwards move but you never know if someone else could haul big before the big hitters.

Kimmich is the one i think has such a big upside.

The thing is 9 is only a CS from a lowly owned: it's not the same as FPL where 9 is kinda good.

Obviously I haven't looked at the scoring but a couple of goals from Balogun +2 would be tempting as it would take 3 contributions to beat him. Otherwise just crack on until the Germans et al start and hope that it doesn't get down to Bruno F

I am struggling to get Bruno F into my starting X1 he is my first sub i am hoping Mbpappe or my german defender or Wirtz is rubbish than i can sub Bruno F in for one of them .
