I had a link to the band's presale and logged in around five mins before sale time and I was 45,000th in the queue - BA has a capacity of less than 5,000
I did the maths and logged out...

Got tickets to see Kate Rusby at Lichfield Cathedral. Saw The Unthanks there a few months back. Amazing place for a concert but the toilets are a bit of a walk and not great.

she'll be awesome in the acoustics of the Cathedral! Might be going there tomorrow for a mosey with the Mrs. Given that I've lived less than 30 odd miles from the place (in either direction) for a big chunk of my life I've only ever been there about 3 times I think, other than playing against their Rugby team a few times when I first started playing (and after I'd later stopped playing seriously).

Going to see Bobby Watson at Ronnie Scott's tonight. Then Brighton Festival in May - Sampa the Great, Aldous Harding and a reimagining of The Black Saint and the Sinner Lady by the Nu Civilisation Orchestra. I like to keep up with the times

The Fighting Hearts great as always but even better in the more intimate venue. Support was provided by Tony Wright (Terrovision) - make sure you check him out if you get the chance. A real entertainer. I’m not always a fan of chatter between songs but this bloke was so funny! A decent set too.

I saw Terrorvision in around 1995, with Echobelly and the Beautiful South all supporting REM. Boiling hot day in the Huddersfield RL stadium. All 4 acts were brilliant and I do remember the Terrorvision lead singer had a good bit of banter in his thick Bratford accent.

Have got tickets for the Manchester gig today, a bit of a new adventure for me! Taking my daughter who's accepted she owes me one after I've accompanied to her to Taylor Swift and Billie Eilish (x2) Will be somewhat different to when we see Freya Ridings a month earlier.....

Covasettes tonight. Art School Girlfriend on Sunday

the Covasettes were very good last night. Debut album released today (picked it up last night and got it signed by the band) but they've been playing together for a few years and the live show is very good. Nice feel good indie rock tunes - Bombay Bicycle club, Foals or Two Door Cinema Club type vibes and good connection with the audience. Just a 45 minute set (album release tour, hence the signing after the gig).
