GW 1 Revisited : if I knew then what I knew now
I would forget all about ekitike and just ride Pedro all season
Raya Gabriel timber from day one instead of fiddling w non creative Arsenal midfield.
I would have got on Harry Wilson earlier and included semenyo in initial draft despite opening Liverpool fixture.
Common sentiments?

Re: GW 1 Revisited : if I knew then what I knew now
I freaking rocked GW1 then FHed in the belief that AV would trash Brentford, and the Skunks would park the bus and hit the paceless Lpool defence in the counter.
Villa got twatted and Capt Gordon got sent off and a GWR of nearly 10m happened.

same with regards to Bourmouth players also would have stayed away from Haaland,
had a feeling that sunderland would have done well so would have gotten Isador instead of the Winger

I think picking two Forest defender was the big mistake for you at the start of the season on the plus side you have had two consecutive green arrows and a score of 63 points last week which was a lot better than me . The only way is up .

Re: GW 1 Revisited : if I knew then what I knew now
Starting the season with a Forest semi-block instead of an Arsenal semi-block is a mistake that essentially had me playing catch-up from the very beginning.
With all of the apps and streams around these days making it so much easier for casual players than used to be the case (meaning templates materialise far quicker than before), getting off to a good start is essential to do well over the course of the season.

Re: GW 1 Revisited : if I knew then what I knew now
The Arsenal shout is a good one. I avoided their defence at the start because of their supposed tough fixtures.

Re: GW 1 Revisited : if I knew then what I knew now
Exactly the same reasoning. This was slightly against my original gut instinct judgement and a reminder warning not to over-read and be over-influenced too much by pre-season articles and Twatter influencer advice!!!Spinynorman wrote: 28 Mar 2026, 14:21 The Arsenal shout is a good one. Re: GW 1 Revisited : if I knew then what I knew now
think what we’ve seen this season is a few key stretches that you needed to have certain key players and if you got on early enough you probably did pretty well
Gabriel
Bruno F
Bruno G
Foden even had his moment
Thiago ekitike Bowen at the right moments have delivered (not when I owned them of course)
Then there was the more steady drip of your Andersons Caicedos rices.
The forward slot has been a disaster

I probably wouldn't have bothered. I have no skill and no luck so the game isn't really for me.
