Years 🤷‍♂️

Weeks, as months would be the rest of the season, which I guess it might still be 🤔

One of the increasingly (or is it decreasingly?) few worthwhile articles from Auntie. FPL focussed but a worthwhile list of out and doubtful players.

Everton manager David Moyes says it is a "big blow" that winger Jack Grealish has a stress fracture in his foot.

BBC.....[Dorgu] limped off in the closing stages of the match with what interim head coach Michael Carrick hoped was cramp.

It is more significant than that but sources say the Denmark international is still being assessed and the timescale for his absence is not clear.

Slot press conference updates-

On Jeremie Frimpong…

He will definitely not be in the squad tomorrow, so he is out for a few weeks. But [it's] not as bad as we thought he would be out. It's something positive from something not so positive.

On Ibrahima Konate…

Ibou trained with us yesterday and trains with us today and will be in the squad tomorrow.

On Curtis Jones…

Curtis is again available. He was sick, as I said, but he is available.

On Joe Gomez...

Joe will not be available but that doesn't have to take much longer anymore, but he will not be available for the weekend.

On Alexander Isak…

He's not even on the pitch yet. I think it's called a walker, he's just out of his walker, so that tells you that he's not on the pitch and not expecting him on the pitch today or tomorrow in terms of his recovery work. That's going to take a while before he's back, as we knew.

Couldn't get that link/tweet/thing to open so here is another link: https://metro.co.uk/2026/02/14/newcastl ... -26894536/

Source seems to 'only' be ESPN Brasil. What Howe actually said in the press conference was "With Bruno, we are awaiting the full extent of his hamstring injury." so read/interpret into that what you will....

Slot on Wirtz not starting in his post-match press conference: "We don't think it is very serious, but he felt his back too much during the warm-up to start.

"He wasn't able to be 100 per cent or even close to 100 per cent. I think after being in this league for six, seven or eight months, he now understands no matter how good you are on the ball, you need to be 100 per cent at this level.

"So, we decided not to play him. We hope and expect he will be able to be with us again next week but you never know how things work out."

From today's press conference:

"But I don't expect Florian [Wirtz] to be available. It's a disappointment. Every time a player is not available is a disappointment, it's something that I didn't expect after last week."

On when Wirtz could return: "At this moment time, I don't know. Usually when I say that, I do know and I don't want to share that. But this time, I honestly don't know."

Slot on Wirtz (Monday AM press conference):

“Not anything different than what I said after the game [on Saturday].”

“The game tomorrow will probably come too soon and maybe the game at the weekend as well. Let’s see how that ends up."

“But we hope to have him back somewhere next week. Maybe earlier. Maybe a bit later. But that timescale.”
