Scores after the Saturday games. MU#1F failed to show, so increased the chances of everyone else in the last eight... Pats and Rams wins definitely needed to save any of us in the bottom half.

So, it's all change as the Rams take it in overtime and sink the Bears pickers. My spot-on score was enough to lead the standings again, having been last (aside from the no-show) after game 3!

A few direct hits in the Plate as well, but it wasn't enough to take all of them through. murf's second bullseye of the round sees him top the table.

So... top four in each competition go through to the Championship Round. For the rest of you, the game ends here... for now. Come back in a couple of weeks for the prestigious Toilet Bowl!

Well, a chick 🤣

But Downunder it would be a chuck, which is rather relevant 🤷‍♂️

Yeah, “Chuck” in Australia typically refers to Sri Lankan spin bowlers.

So, the Patriots fight their way through the Denver snow while the Seahawks swoop to slam the Rams.

My direct hit on the first match is enough to edge out Malrom who got both results correct and was just one point out on the second one! sibrown4 leads the standings though, and stands in my way of becoming the first repeat winner.

The Plate provided a nail-biter as murf edges out morganb on countback, having been closer on the first game, to face Johnners in the final (who, had he transposed the victory margins in the two games, would have had a perfect score!)

Johnners 98
murf 90

-----------------------
morganb 90
Geoffv 82

So we have our four finalists, but remember everyone else, the Toilet Bowl is open to all entrants not in one of the above finals!

Who will have a San Francisco (well, Santa Clara technically) gold rush? Will the Seahawks have them sleepless in Seattle, or will February be the month of Maye as the Pats prove there's life after Bill and Tom?

Super Bowl
Seattle v New England (Sun 8th Feb)

For your entry:
Main competition - I will need a volunteer to receive the picks by PM, given I'm a competitor (must be available at 11.30pm on Super Bowl night to post entries on the thread). Let me know if anyone's able to do this.
Plate - please PM me your picks
Toilet Bowl - please post on-thread as usual.

All entrants, include your team pick and margin as per usual, along with the following two tie-breakers:
1) Total points scored by both teams
2) Shirt number of scorer of first touchdown (receiver or runner, including a defensive/special teams score if applicable)

Entries by 11.30pm Sun 8th Feb.

My gamble on resting my star quarter back and centre forward for the Cup Final paid off then. Just. Very close to backfiring.

Had both games correct and out vs forestfan who only has one game correct! :-(

Still I'm happy since I know nothing about NFL anyway
