Subs every round means you have to be very active. Maybe made it too hard for the casual follower, think it will put many off

Yeah, they do appear to have overly complicated the game (probably trying to get website hits).

Being able to use boosters once each per swing is a good addition and here are details of each Swing.

Being allowed to use players 5 times in each swing means there are lterally no restrictions on who you pick, which is taking the player management skill out of the game.

I agree that there will only be a small % of people who will be arsed with doing the necessary tinkering, so not a smart move really.

Yeah, much prefer the original format. A lot more management needed now. So now that Round 2 is over (well almost over as suspended), if one of your original selections didn't make the cut, you can bring in one of your subs who has made the cut to replace him now, right (needs to be done before round 3 starts)?

I just tried to make my sub as Round 3 is now unlocked to allow me to do it so that seems to work OK.

Emailed support yesterday with this query: If you have an unused sub for a tournament does it count as one of their five appearances.

The answer to that is yes, you could literally pick a player five times and never actually use them

See they've already moved the goalposts

They've changed the 5 picks per swing (see screenshot in 2nd post) back to 5 picks per season. Sensible.

Looks like the best tactic may be pick 3 top players and one crap one as capt. Then transfer out the crap capt, allocating the capt badge to one of the top players or the incoming sub.

Doing the transfers on the laptop, it doesn't save the transfer the first time you click save, even though it acts like it has.

Anyone else have that?

Had Jesper Svensson on the sub bench in first round of current tournament, swapped him out just before 2nd round started this morning to replace Penge. Disaster.

Whew, subs were not such a disaster at end of round 2 (only lost 8 points).

And now there's a section on the rules that contradicts this specifically, if you don;t use your bench player it doesn;t count towards their cap
