Allen heading for the exit despite a parting shot 147. Top half of the draw opening up ridiculously favourably for Ronnie.

Re: 2025 Fantasy World Snooker
Bit quiet...
This minileague seems a bit out of date (after first session yesterday???)
Top 5 all have Trump (1) and top 9 all have Xhao (32). Nobody has the other 2 semi finalists. kingcurtley is therefore champion unless Xhao gets millions of points (and he has won a session 8-0 since this update!) and those with a higher coefficient close in. That effect may move me or Sport Billy up to the podium but I can't see much else changing.

Re: 2025 Fantasy World Snooker
With the rocket fizzling out and giving points to Zhao, Sport Billy is up from 6th to 2nd! I think he can win this. Judd needs to up his game and get positive points for kingcurtley and the rest of us.

I think there is an issue with the league table updating.
Currently shows the completed Zhao/Ronnie semi but no points at all in Trump/oldbloke semi

Re: 2025 Fantasy World Snooker
Zhou is playing as an amateur, so does that mean he’s not entitled to any prize money, as per golf? Maybe appropriate payback for his past misdemeanors, though he’ll be back to full earning power next season.
On that note, I saw Stephen Lee’s 12-year ban came to an end late last year, but he hasn’t come back yet as he’s still in dispute with World Snooker over £125k of reclaimed prize money.

Re: 2025 Fantasy World Snooker
It’s safe to say nobody would have predicted this final… no idea how it will go, they both played phenomenal stuff in the semi-final. Edge perhaps with Williams as he’s been there and done it before but it’s almost a coin-flip I think.
Trump will be disappointed to fall short at the business end yet again, he’s had one of the great seasons by any player. He and Ronnie should give the crowd a third-place play-off during the intervals…

Re: 2025 Fantasy World Snooker
Sport Billy now within 1000 points of kingcurtley with a 2.0 v 1.0 co-efficeient advantage on Zhou. Zho has 261 points at 3-1 so, without doing the maths I think he needs a Zhou win but not sure how many frames he can concede.
I'm 170 behind MorganB with a co-efficient advantage of 0.2 so I need another 850 points for Zhou

Williams hasn’t turned up yet, could be an early night for us all tomorrow…

Did you all pick Xingtong as he was cheap or because you knew he was good?

Re: 2025 Fantasy World Snooker
Well, being bottom of the price list certainly helped but he had a track record and one of the friendlier draws of the non-seeds, though Wilson falling at the first hurdle wasn’t to be expected (nor the quality of his performances as the tournament went on).morganb wrote: 04 May 2025, 16:29 Did you all pick Xingtong as he was cheap or because you knew he was good?

Re: 2025 Fantasy World Snooker
Thanks. I was just curious as I'd been told he was quite good so the price wasn't the deciding issue for me (in fact I had a few coins left in the budget).forestfan wrote: 04 May 2025, 17:08Well, being bottom of the price list certainly helped but he had a track record and one of the friendlier draws of the non-seeds, though Wilson falling at the first hurdle wasn’t to be expected (nor the quality of his performances as the tournament went on).morganb wrote: 04 May 2025, 16:29 Did you all pick Xingtong as he was cheap or because you knew he was good?

Re: 2025 Fantasy World Snooker
Well, still all to play for in the m/l. Sport Billy clear, but if Mark Williams doesn't completely fold and wins then next 10 frames to win 18-17, then kingcurtley will win through.
Like I say, all to play for.

Re: 2025 Fantasy World Snooker
Podium...
1. sportbilly - the only player to pick Zhao as first choice
2. kingcurtley - the only player NOT to pick Selby
3. murf - best of the rest, I'll take that!

That's it. All over. Maybe all over for some of the entrants, but we'll just have to wait & see.
Congrats to Sport Billy who takes his 3rd title, joint with blah. Can he take the lead on his own next year? See you in 50 weeks time.
Thanks to everyone who participated. It would be not very interesting if I was the only one here.
