It will surely reach 100, but I really have no idea what's gonna happen after? Is it going to continue growing or is it gonna dip.

Once it hits a 100k I am sure there will be some people taking lifestyle chips off the table but I would expect any dips to be aggressively bought up.
Wall street has only just got on board and it is just a matter of time before Microsoft, Apple, Google and the like start adding it to their balance sheets. Trump has spoken about making bitcoin a strategic reserve asset. Once that happens countries around the world will follow suit. Think about this, there is $133Trillion in global bond markets. If only 5% of that is switched to bitcoin we are looking at about $6.6Trillion heading bitcoin's way.
Bitcoin is currently ranked 7th in the world by market cap. I fully expect it to jump to 2nd before the end of this cycle with only gold above it.
We are just getting started.

“I believe that banking institutions are more dangerous to our liberties than standing armies.

“If the American people ever allow private banks to control the issue of their currency, first by inflation, then by deflation, the banks and corporations that will grow up around them will deprive the people of all property until their children wake up homeless on the continent their Fathers conquered.”

“The issuing power of currency should be taken from the banks and restored to the people, to whom it properly belongs.”

I still think it has no intrinsic value, but you can make money out of it just as you can by betting on anything else if you time it right/get lucky…

Absolutely, because I'm interested in why you think BTC would suit the same sets of needs? It's often said that when you are "backing" the dollar, what you're ultimately invested in is the stability provided by the power (both financially and militarily) of the US state. My belief is that its this stability that people aim for, currently, when deciding to denominate things in USD, and what is it that derives the same stability within any competitor? Why is oil not priced in gold for example?

Why would BRICS nations have waited until now to free themselves from the yoke of the west/US financial system? If it were that easy or simple to just decide to use another currency, they could have used their own or the Yen by now. They were not waiting for crypto to magic away all the barriers... A blockchain is just a database.

I've said before that stating that a currency lasts 100 years on average is a non argument because currencies last purely because of the states that back them. Sure, if you want to believe that the US is a declining super power I can understand why you'd think about alternative ways to preserve wealth that isn't primarily based in the US economy, but try not to boil an argument down so simplistically.

I know you don't really listen to anything I say, and I'm sure I seem stupid or arrogant to you for not seeing the truth of the world as you see it, but maybe try to answer one of my rhetorical questions (to yourself, not me) and see if you can actually do so without just saying things about "game theory" or "fast adoption rates" which really, when you sit down and think about it, are impossible metrics to measure and statements that mean very little.
They BRICS nations have been building up to it for a while. The Chinese and the Russians have had enough of the US weaponzing the USD and want their own alternative. Gold will play a big part in their new currency.

You are right about blockchain it is a database/ledger and that is a very important part in all of this.
We are looking at the bifurcation of world reserve currencies. One controlled by the West on their blockchain and one controlled by the BRICS on their blockchain..
.
The West aren't going to want to use the BRICS's option and BRICS aren't going to want to use the West's option.

If only there was a neutral option not controlled by any government.
The west (especially US) will want no part of Bitcoin/whatever if the Russians and Chinese are in on it and will, probably, do their best to destroy Bitcoin if the Russians and Chinese start to adopt it widely so I wouldn't take that as a positive!
Wrong again Murf,

Sounds like a recipe for disaster. One side can easily lure the other in then pull the rug out to ruin the other.

Trump signs executive order promoting crypto, paving way for digital asset stockpile
https://www.cnbc.com/2025/01/23/trump-s ... kpile.html

SEC cancels controversial crypto accounting rule SAB 121
https://cointelegraph.com/news/sec-canc ... ce-sab-121

The SAB 121 news hasn't been reflected in the price of bitcoin just yet but this is massive news. It basically allows banks to custody bitcoin for customers in the US. This means that when people go to their bank to discuss financial services the banks will now be allowed to talk about bitcoin for the first time.

Trump is delivering on his promises. :D

God Bless America!
