Re: The denial of Jesus
Mikel Arteta on Jesus: “His versatility is well known. Now we are using him as a nine, he can play as a winger, off the left & the right. You can play with two strikers as we have done in pre-season as well & change the shape a little bit. He gives us a lot of flexibility.”
Confirms Jesus nailedness, and also imo playing time for Martinelli. Martinelli had 2 assists vs Sevilla and should probably had one goal aswell but denied by a good save. Martinelli subbed at 90 min. Whats noticed by majority is Saka’s 2 goals (but hes 2 m more compared to Martinelli).
We can maybe expect that Arteta want to take advantage of Zinchenko (when tierney is available) and move Martinelli up front together with Jesus. Or also Nketiah as LW.
And regarding Pens Martinelli taken so far 1 va Saka 2. They taken them by themself when they got tripped. So i Think Martinelli also Will take a couple of pens.
Conclusion; Both Jesus and Martinelli are very good value atm. And I think Zinchenko also Will be a Main man. He can be really good value for 5 m.
Probably a good idea to start with him if need of that pricepoint, Will take atleast 3 GWs to get Tierney up to speed.

Thanks for that Gooner.
I’m a sinner no more. It just seems a little too pig-headed to go against the flow.
I’m now onboard - so he’s doomed!

Same for me, I am a believer now despite looking for answers elsewhere.

Re: The denial of Jesus
Now at 70% ownership
has that ever happened before for GW1?
The 30% who don't have him could be playing a blinder if he blanks GW1! Somebody like Wilson or Watkins v that Bournemouth defence could easily outscore him.
Not that he's leaving my team, but if I were set on a GW2 WC I think I'd take the gamble to not have him and go Wilson or Watkins etc, Palace are not a bad team and it could be a great early chance to gain on a huge % of the field.

and the Rodrigo HT for Leeds doubled his ownership from 0.3% to 0.6%.

Re: The denial of Jesus
Surely Zincenko becomes one of the 2 in the 4231 if Tierney plays - the more advanced one - not LHS of the 3?

Re: The denial of Jesus
Cut Robertson to James and slot Darwin in for Jesus? Could be a great differential... Or a massive rank killer.

Tierney likely won't be fit enough to start until the world cup, so I wouldn't sweat it yet. Over time Zinchenko might displace Xhaka (who was actually quite good last season) and when Tierney is back, he could still play the LWB role ahead of Tierney at LCB if Arteta goes to a back 3 again.

Fans need to accept that Xhaka is not going anywhere. Rarely injured and a mainstay under every manager he’s played for.Charade wrote: ↑02 Aug 2022, 00:12Tierney likely won't be fit enough to start until the world cup, so I wouldn't sweat it yet. Can’t imagine he’s now going to be displaced by a left back.

Re: The denial of Jesus
Jesus now on 71.6%. The risk to go against the trend is very high, and I wonder whether it is really worth it. Probably the first few rounds it is better not to go against him, otherwise you might be playing catch up for a few months, if he scores well.

Re: The denial of Jesus
Torn now, on one hand, I’ll have to lose a 8.0 midfield slot, which is susceptible to rotation depending on who you have, but if Jesus’ goals do forsake us, then what? Leaning against the grain but don’t be surprised if that changes.Lucky wrote:Jesus now on 71.6%. The risk to go against the trend is very high, and I wonder whether it is really worth it. Re: The denial of Jesus
Do any of the geeks have any idea what Jesus' ownership will need to be for a price rise?

Re: The denial of Jesus
You could hope for Arsenal blanking the first two and watch the trigger happy shift him out, then try to buy him at 7.8 or whatever. I did that with Toney last year.
