With just 4 holes left on Friday afternoon Shane Lowry had to find 4 birdies to make the cut. The irishman delivered much to the relief of three of our four remaining players, in particular scopsm who would have been eliminated has Lowry not produced his great escape.

This week we have a choice of events with the Pro-Am in Ireland taking place in addition to the Scottish Open.

However if you want to pick a player in the Pro-Am you must post before the first tee time tomorrow. (Monday)

The event has attracted a lot of top names from the PGA tour. This is also a no-cut event so is a lot more attactive than the Scottish Open from a LMS point of view. I'm surprised this event has been sanctioned by the European Tour as it only takes place over 2 days.

The Barbasol Championship in Kentucky from Thurs 7 July has become a co-sanctioned event between the PGA Tour and the DP World Tour, making it three in Europe this week.

And two co-sanctioned tournaments are also scheduled for the following Thurs, 14th: the Open Championship at St. Andrews and the Barracuda Championship in California.
