Seriously though, have there been (m)any predictions of normal service being restored?

I can see a few airlines struggling with all the stories of people spending hundreds on taxis etc which will have to be refunded etc.

Can’t even go to Wales as the 2x7 Bridge is blocked by protesters (luckily I went last week!)

Seriously though, have there been (m)any predictions of normal service being restored?

I can see a few airlines struggling with all the stories of people spending hundreds on taxis etc which will have to be refunded etc.

I don’t think anyone really knows, very much doubt they’ll sort it out this summer season at least. There’s three factors, misunderestimating demand, loss of workers during the pandemic, and fewer workers available to recruit (from UK or abroad). Only the first one can be tackled relatively quickly.

If airlines collapse then it will put even more strain on the remaining ones.

You forgot the time that it is taking for Govt to process the security clearance.....

I'm kinda bored etc at having to wait until late/mid Sept to start looking to find out if the queues etc clear after the school holidays and which carriers are still in business.

Although the carriers may have insurance for that stuff, but those premiums will be going through the roof now?

do we know if the diversions, leaving people in airports etc is actually up on previous years or similar, but getting more headlines etc?
