Tff chit chat 22nd May
And so, the end is near...
SUNDAY 22ND MAY
Arsenal 16:00 Everton
The final day of the season and all matches kick off at 4pm, the first of which alphabetically is Arsenal v Everton. Arsenal are currently in 5th but could finish 4th if results go their way. Tomiyasu a doubt. Everton have nothing to play for as they confirmed their Premier League place on Thursday. Delph and Mina out.
Brentford 16:00 Leeds United
Next up is a game between mid-table Brentford and relegation-threatened Leeds United. Brentford are the most successful of the newly promoted teams and would like to finish with a home win. Eriksen has transformed their season. No new injury concerns. Leeds need the points here and for other results to go their way in order to stay up. Ayling and James suspended.
Brighton & Hove Albion 16:00 West Ham United
Down on the South Coast we have a match where Brighton & Hove Albion are taking on West Ham United. Brighton will finish in mid-table but 7th place West Ham could reach 6th with a win coupled with a Man U defeat. The Seagulls will be missing Enock Mwepu. The Hammers will be without Said Benrahma.
Burnley 16:00 Newcastle United
At Turf Moor we have an important game featuring relegation-threatened Burnley and Newcastle United. Burnley are currently in 17th place but have a better goal difference than Leeds who they need to match or better. Lowton banned. Pieters and Mee still missing as are Rodriguez and Vydra. Newcastle beat Arsenal last time out. Fraser, Wood, Manquillo and Schar all doubts.
Chelsea 16:00 Watford
Next we go to Stamford Bridge for a match between Chelsea and Watford. Chelsea are guaranteed a top 4 finish but are expecting a mass exodus of players over the summer. No Kovacic or Werner for the Blues. This will be the Hornets last Premier League game for a while and Roy's last game full stop. No Cucho, King, Dennis, Cleverley or Sarr.
Crystal Palace 16:00 Manchester United
Crystal Palace versus Manchester United at Selhurst Park is up next. Palace were two-nil up but threw it away against Everton in mid-week. No Olise still nor McArthur or Tomkins. Manchester United are playing for 6th place so expect a resolute display from the Red Devils in Ragnarok's last game. No Shaw, Pogba or Sancho but Rashford could be back for this one.
Leicester City 16:00 Southampton
Now we have a game at the King Power Stadium the have Leicester City v Southampton. Leicester are currently 9th but recorded a good win against Watford last weekend followed by a draw against Chelsea in midweek. Tielemans missed that game as did Ndidi. Southampton are on a poor run of form but are safe from the drop. Possibly no Forster for the Saints.
Liverpool 16:00 Wolverhampton Wanderers
A potential title decider up next at Anfield, Liverpool versus Wolverhampton Wanderers. Liverpool will have one eye on the Champions League Final but have a outside chance of winning the League so are likely to field a strong side. Injury doubts over Salah and VVD plus Fabinho. Wolves are on a poor run and have nothing to play for. Saiss out injured.
Manchester City 16:00 Aston Villa
The other potential title decider also kicks off at 4pm between Manchester City and Aston Villa. Man City only need to match or better Liverpool's result to be crowned Champions. No Dias, Stones or Walker. Aston Villa drew with Burnley in midweek and have nothing to play for except Stevie G helping Liverpool to the title. No Konsa for Villa.
Norwich City 16:00 Tottenham Hotspur
And finally, already relegated Norwich City against top-4 chasing Tottenham Hotspur at Carrow Road. The Canaries relegation was confirmed weeks ago, will they field a weakened team in preparation for next season in the Championship? No Gilmour, Gibson a doubt. Spurs simply need to match or better Arsenal's result to guarantee Champions League football next season. Romero and Reguilon out.
Just wanted to say thanks for reading/commenting on the chit chat threads every week, good luck using up your final 5 transfers and see you all next season.

Re: Tff chit chat 22nd May
I'm waiting on TFF confirming that I can use all my remaining transfers this week and that I am not restricted to just 5!
Thanks to MorganB and everyone for chipping in on theses threads so we have had somewhere sufficiently lively to discuss things throughout the season without going over to the dark side to have to suffer whinges about chips failing and unlucky vice captain picks, bench dilemmas and other silly crazy golf things. Purity still rules here. No windmills and clowns here (my teams excepted).

Couldn't agree more. TRK is a friendly boozer but it's like they've only got Carling and Caffreys on draught.

interesting choices from fergie...
1.barnes (makes sense)
2.Sterling razor sharp pace to burn - not sure it translates into points tho
3.Pulisic (leftfield)

Thanks for all the write-ups MorganB and thanks to all the Fiso-heads for contributing to this forum throughout the season. Apparently other fantasy football games are available, but this is the only one I've ever played and I have no intention of jumping ship until I am pushed.

Thanks MorganB, fantastic service all season
Good luck all, and here's hoping I can lose fewer than 5 places and stay in the top 100.

Re: Tff chit chat 22nd May
Goals for today.
Egg League: defending a 7 point lead, could really do with a Wolves goal and/or Klopp continuing to rest some big name defenders.
Tenners League: top on goals scored but suspect I could do with a Wolves goal and/or Klopp continuing to rest some big name defenders.
Two Foot Challenge: 2nd place 27 points behind the leader, 20 points clear of Jammy in 3rd. Status quo probably best I can hope for here but a Wolves goal.....well you know the rest.
Fiso leagues earnings could be anywhere between £60 and £590 but £320 feels most likely which would be neat and tidy for a £32 stake.

Mo and VvD only fit enough for Liverpool bench.
Mane, Jota and Diaz up front
Fabinho out (and Origi too for his farewell)

10 starters with VVD on the bench. VVD > TAA seems the obvious move, or I could agonise over it for half hour or so.
