G23 Wildcard

Thinking about pressing the button.

So many things I want to change...looking at a WC as I'm struggling to afford them all now, and price moves could make a lot of difference as this only leaves me with 0.2m

Want KDB, Coutinho, Watkins, Raph, Laporte, Sa, Digne etc.

So far I have this (10 changes to current team):

Watkins - Fixtures (+2 games in hand)
Dennis - Form (+3 gih)
Broja - Form & price (+1 gih)

Salah (+2 gih) -> will (probably) be Jota for this GW
KDB - amazing fixtures, looking back to his best
Bowen - Form
Raph - Class (+2 gih)
Gallagher - Form (+1 gih)

TAA (+2 gih)
Cancelo
Laporte
Digne - Fixtures (+2 gih)
Taylor - Cheap +5 gih !!

Sa - Form (+2 gih)
Foster - Price (+3 gih)

Gives me a cracking midfield and defence, and a decent pair of GK's.
Compromise is upfront, but very happy with Watkins & Dennis, and Broja is looking very good and is probably the bench warmer most weeks

Can't afford Coutinho / Maddison, but wouldn't know who to take out for them either, the 6m guys are all decent.
One of those will probably become Cornet once the BUR doubles are clear.

Am I missing anything? (Have both FHs, BB, and TC still)

Looks like BGWs for LIV, CHE, LEI, ARS ?...then I'm fine, only 2 LIV & none from the other teams, already have Salah (Blank, WHU) -> Son (lee,EVE) planned for a two game switch, so only TAA missing out.

So very similar to the WC I have played! Only 3 players different. I avoided Foster even with their double and went for Ramsdale supported by Sanchez for the Arsenal blanks, and gone DCL over Dennis to cover their doubles coming up. I didn't want 2 Watford strikers in my squad. Otherwise very similar thinking.

Edit: Only 2 different actually as I also changed from DCL to Dennis as I was scared of getting the wrong striker. DCL can wait for now.

Yeah Foster may not score well this week, but at that price and those two fixtures found it impossible to resist.
King may become Edouard next week for nor + bre

Last minute changes of keeping DDG over Sa as possibly a Manu DBL imminent and Wolves fixtures not so good.
Also changed Lowton to Coady as was not going to play Lowton even with a DBL, Coady there for when Wolves do have better fixtures again.

Took the leap late yesterday as well and also came up with something similar. Your ORs are much better than mine so I feel in good company....

I've prioritised keeping my 2nd premium options open, so have 6m in the bank and didn't go for Robertson (allowing me to keep TAA and Jota + Salah if Jota looks like keeping his place a bit longer...)

I've also punted on a couple of the Villa newbies, given there might be a DGW soon.

KDB / Jota / Coutinho / Raphinha / Gallagher
ASM / Dennis / King

This (I think) keeps pretty much every premium open to me with 1x transfer.

Now all 3 of us with Digne's 12 points sitting as first sub
Will be hoping one of Laporte/Cancelo/TAA gets a rest!

Yes there was me hoping Laporte would be benched! He isn't! If I hadn't changed my mind last minute and got Dennis in I was starting Digne!

Ok, can’t be too sad, Laporte pulled out a 10, and he was the only one I realistically would have benched for Digne’s 12

Will still hope one of my LIV pair gets a rest tho

KDB’s 8 was nice too as was fearing the worst pre the goal…and he also hit the post.

So annoying you cannot play the BB in the same week as the WC, would have deffo played it this week, 23 points would have been decent

Another positive, not being punished (so far) by those I didn’t pick or dropped, nothing from DCL, CR7, Antonio…although many more yet to play
