Fell into a similar trap myself. Same clanger, different Hammer.

Thought tomorrow's decision would be less of a dilemma, but the way things are going, with Cancelo's ban and Utd's game in doubt, I might run out of captains altogether.

Looks ominous 😬

Transfers in hand is gonna be massive if this is the norm. I remember Arsenal had a few out (inc Auba and Laca) with Covid earlier in the season v Brentford but played it. Seems pretty subjective.. no idea how these things get decided.

Horrible week so far what with forgetting the Ronaldo transfer and making the Hammer clanger as Northernmonkey and Johnners. It's amazing how a couple of bad weeks means you try and over-press with random last minute decisions. Sometimes it feels like I am my own worst enemy.

I'm probably alone in hoping the Utd game is off

Well that was fun. But nice of them to announce all the postponements before tonight’s kick offs!

In the end hedged my bets, out goes Antonio who’s barely touched the ball since getting him back in. Alonso in after seeing that Everton line up. Left VVD alone thinking that game looks ripe for the chop on Sunday 😬

Edit - somehow Everton score and just seen 4 Chelsea test positive

So many tempting opportunities. but whether they are real or just a transfer drain, only the virus knows.

Well that was a pretty disgusting week for me, like others I missed the Gallagher captaincy and compounded it with a couple of what subsequently turned out to be wasted transfers.

Its funny how the good luck/judgement ebbs and flows, when all is flowing nicely everything just falls into place, but other times no matter how well thought out your plans are, everything turns ugly.

Probably should of used some more transfers yesterday but just in that awkward space atm where it feels whatever I do it'll backfire, so decided to sit on my hands and wait for the tide to turn.

Although heading in to the weekend with only 3 players it better turn sharpish

Sounds familiar Coleridge. I started off the week full of beans, made a few transfers and expecting a rise. Ended up going backwards too.

Some moves have come good (loving Ramsdale), others have been sh*te despite seeming good on paper.

Just hope Sunday comes good as I’ve got quite a few playing. If I can get to the overhaul still in the mix with half the subs left I’ll be happy.

What a week 😳. Games called off galore and Salah blanks for a change, good job I swapped to Cancelo 😄.

Quite what happens next week and foreseeable weeks has to be questioned especially when teams are struggling to fill their benches with eligible players.

Good luck, stay safe and have a good Xmas

Just can't see to get anything right at the moment - feels like my season is slipping away. Went Cancelo (c) with my other team and after much switching decided to stick with Salah for my ISO team. Plenty of time left, of course, but it feels like I need to turn my fortunes round pretty quickly.

Well done Evvy. Looking down on me for Chrimbo. Have a Good one and keep up the good work in the new year.

Know the feeling Reje, just dig in and hope it comes Good, still loads of time.

Think I probably saved my season on Sunday, if I hadn't of brought in Cancello (c) and Laporte. I would've got 25 points😧. Even with them was only about par😮.

Hope everyone has a happy holiday and don't worry if things go wrong ff wise, because you know it ultimately doesn't matter, as either me or Nibbles will end up winning anyway. Its just the way things are.😉

If any of you are playing the season long fan team game. I have posted a question over there and would be extremely grateful if you'd have a gander and proffer your opinion.

Happy Chrimbo 🎄 all.

Interesting to see that my 37 helps the top 1000 average so much.
With your Cancelo and Laporte moves, I guess you're down to 35 now.

Still significantly more than the average Sky player, according to their latest figures:

Top 10 - 18.4
Top 100 - 19.6
Top 1000 - 20.5
Top 5000 - 18.9

Happy Christmas to everyone. May your captaincies be wise and your ranks be lofty.

🤦🏻 I was pretty happy on 28th with Kane a VAR toe nail away from a brace and big haul. Other moves not so much. Those with Dennis will be loving his surprise AFCON swerve.

Must admit I was jealous of everyone’s De Gea move given the likely extra (+ better) fixtures and did some luxury transfers yesterday  Seemed a good idea at the time but soon regretted it.. didn’t know Lennon still even existed!

As soon as the commentators said Lennon had never scored against Utd Iy was obvious what would happen, the same with the Brighton have never scored at Stamford Bridge statement the other day.

Happy new year everyone :)

Looks like Evvy and Nibbles had it large last night, given they missed their captains.

Absolutely terrified of Kane today. Deffo be my captain if I had him.

Terrified too that he’ll end up with nowt. Finally a chance to make up some ground.. 15 mins to go and chances of a decent haul fading quickly :(

Also terrified of Antonio’s upcoming games 😬

Phew! I was so convinced he was going big. If it wasn't for the rearranged midweek games I would of gone Salah to Kane.

Nice hold! I couldn’t justify the move either with 3 playing strikers already, but had a rush of blood at 19.59 and got newboy Samir instead (yes that’s me - the 0.1% in the top 1000 who own him ).

Just felt Watford looked more solid last game with their new signings and he was ripest for a leftfield haul. Not my finest move, but a passing & tackles bonus (+ 10 point swing over Dennis) it wasn’t a disaster either.

Been trying to limp to overhaul without using any more transfers, had a wretched Dec/Jan so far but finally some nice Kane points on Weds so just about staying in touch. Plenty in the mixer so should be a cracking 2nd half of the season.

Nice move. With those 8 points, you might have outscored the entire top 1000 put together last night.

Nm...I did notice your travails, mostly stemming from no Bowen. I only brought him in to create the space for Kane and/or Dennis :? Before the postponements.

I was of course tempted to give you a kicking while you were down  , but oddly felt quite bad for you and was pleased to see your renaissance
I think because we are fighting it out at the top end this year the downs seem to sting more. Although I want to win I seem to be taking pleasure in seeing others in the league do so well. I may be unwell.

Johnners...The Dennis thing was so tricky. The math said no, but with him being so highly owned he really could of ended any fanciful ideas I have of a top 20 finish.

As Nm said the run in should be great. I think I've probably got about 20  transfers in hand on Rick and a maybe a few in hand on Nm, but really not sure where I stand in regard to everyone else.

Aah well that’s nice, as it was no fun watching you steam past me  Bowen and Laporte have been the 2 players I wish I had these past few weeks, considered both several times but wasn’t to be.

Bowen’s 40 pointer last week was such a killer, and Johnners I’d have got in Dennis last night too if I wasn’t already 4-3-3 (just to avoid another Bowen like haul). I’d have had to remove one of Kane, Jota or Ron which I just couldn’t do before they play. Sorry to see your ex-Toney score today 😬

Gotta be 3rd time lucky for my Jota armband tomorrow, no use scoring a brace in the bloody Carabao cup!
