How is everyone getting on for budget? Managed to reach 105 after moving early with transfers. Remember deadline is 6pm tomorrow.

Still liking shape of my teams but it is a slog through the ranks.... So many teams within 100 points bts of the leader.... Massive swings still possible imo....

Can't see big swings until AFCON and when Chelsea go to the Club World Cup. Most will be on Salah perma-captain and double Chelsea defence until then. A lot on triple Liverpool divided between Mane/Salah/Jota/TAA so difficult to make ground there. Everyone has Cancelo. Perhaps United could offer a route to point swings, but most will jump on a player soon enough if they start to fire.

104.9m for me,
Sat 20 pts off top 100 and like Yorkie says I’m fairly happy with my teams too, doesn’t feel like I’ve moved in about 4-5 GW’s just so compact and slow it seems, busy time coming up so let’s see how we get on

104.4 for me and to be honest that’s quite enough as much as we’d all like more. With low/medium budget midfielders doing so well it actually doesn’t matter as much having so much budget as long as you got all the premium defenders. What will make a difference is having Ronaldo and Kane at the same time or Lukaku and Kane/or Ronaldo when they’re all putting the other strikers to shame (as long as you got all 5 premium defenders too).

106.0 in my highest-ranked team.
Status quo in terms of placings though.

I think xmas rotation will mess things about still lots of play before afcon. Best value team 105.8 here. 10ppw extra and you move a fair bit

Just noticed the deadline for transfers has been set to 19:00 even though Newcastle vs Norwich kicks off at 19:30 - they mistakenly have it kicking off at 20:00 on their site but deadline should still be 18:30 based on that error. I've already made transfers so can't take advantage of team news for both games. It seems like a sloppy error on their part.

I doubt it will make much difference this time around with it being Newcastle vs Norwich, but they need to make sure this doesn't happen again over the festive period with all the midweek games. Imagine if it had been Man City or Chelsea playing and people could still make transfers after seeing team news.

It was adjusted as people were unable to make transfers, a technical error apparently, it was set at 18:00 but they have extended it an hourBLOCKHEAD wrote: ↑30 Nov 2021, 18:12 Just noticed the deadline for transfers has been set to 19:00 even though Newcastle vs Norwich kicks off at 19:30 - they mistakenly have it kicking off at 20:00 on their site but deadline should still be 18:30 based on that error. How was this given as an assist to Salah back in GW5, but Son's cross tonight wasn't deemed an assist for Spurs 1st goal? Bizarre inconsistencies in how they award points!
Maybe it has something to do with keeping the masses happy because we all captained Salah that week (apart from Ricky who sold him).

Why oh why do I keep backing Kane! Surely he does something at home to Norwich! and Wolves keep Salah reasonably quiet at Molineux… oh well at least Kane is doing Well in the sun format, another star man to his list courtesy of WhoScored

I think this is the week where Kane finally beats Salah. It was annoying to see Salah subbed in the 96th min with the ref blowing the whistle seconds later.

Fortunately I went for Son instead in my best team, but Kane did have a much higher xGI over the past 3 PL games compared to Son. So Kane owners probably a bit unlucky.

Yes agree, it might sound odd but I think if your behind I’d probably suggest keeping Kane, frustrating I’m sure but we all know football and how quickly a player like that can turn it around, even if it is taking a little longer this year,

This week is looking like an absolute mess for me - no Sanchez, Son or Toney and even Foden is a doubt. Is anyone is worse shape than that and how many hits are you prepared to take?

My highest team looks a right mess,6 players in red. Looks like I might have to take a minus 8 to get 11 playing. Rest of my teams don't look to bad with 2/3 players out.

Re: FanTeam £1m Premier League 2021/22
Relatively fine here. Missing 3 players in most teams, but I am stacking 2 transfers so I'll be able to get a full team out with solid bench coverage.
I do have one team missing 6 players though (3 Brighton/3 Spurs) and only 1 transfer. So that will likely be a -8.
With other potential injuries and rotation on top of the Covid cases, this will be a barn fire for some managers.

Took a -8 in my highest team(Gone Ronaldo captain in that). And -4 in 2 teams. Have 5 teams in the cash(3 which didn't need to take a hit). Has anyone else managed to qualify for the WCOFF? Just the 1 Entry for me so far which I managed to win from a £2 satellite.

Got into WCOFF from a 12.60 satellite. Looking forward to the player prices being revealed - lots of juicy fixtures to target in that competition.

Surely the Brighton and Wolves game will be off aswell if Brighton have had 4 players test positive. The hardest bit now is deciding which players to take out or bring in with not knowing which games are going to be off.

Re: FanTeam £1m Premier League 2021/22
A thought re new rules in the recent fanteam mail, regarding postponements; many of us considering entries for the big WCOFF tourny over christmas, but there will likely be some postponements there too. Depending on when match postponement is announced, tourny might still continue, or you have time to remove relevant players. Best read up on the new rules - and if more than 25% of matches off, then tourny won't go ahead anyway. This is still a couple of weeks away, maybe rules and/or fanteam plans for a big competition might change again.

I've had an absolute shocker transferring Sanchez back into my teams recently - Brighton look set for 3 consecutive postponements
