The End of the Rainbow

Post by pa102aw »

I was driving across country on my way home from Town about an hour ago when I spotted the most brilliant Rainbow in front of me. When I rounded the corner I couldn't believe my eyes because right in front of me was the proverbial "End of the Rainbow". I quickly pulled in and took this photo on my mobile. You can actually see the dark spot where it hits the ground. (I wonder if it will bring me luck) :D

camera phone

Luck doesn't come into it. In the good old days you'd have had a spade on you and been able to dig up that pot of gold.

Ah well, I was hoping to find dozens of posts saying "that is the most amazing photo I have ever seen Pa", but it looks like Jmaes Milner's level of fitness takes presidence :(

Now if it had been a photo of Leona Lewis in the nude !!!

When travelling through the highlands of Scotland the other week, we actually spotted three end of the rainbow jobbies.
The driver of the coach was also amazed.
As for it bringing good luck, forget it :(

Isn't the end of the rainbow where the rain stops? Now, that is lucky. :D

pa - I think you used up all your luck on saturday getting 16 points from 9 games in FISO Goals! You could have had the pot of gold too if you'd been driving to the bookies.....

You do know that you can never get to the end... even if you can see it and have shovel in hand...?

Mother Nature can be so cruel sometimes!!!

Nice pic BTW.

Depends on where the sun is, and the direction of the rain. I am not saying it is common but not impossible

Apparently all rainbows come in two's but it's often harder to see the outer one.
