While Coleridge is making final tweaks to his team  I'm still trying to sort my other team out - the main question I still have to resolve is whether to go for Antonio or DCL (assuming DCL is fit). It seems wrong to leave Antonio out given how he has performed so far, but DCL covers captaincy on Monday and a couple of later days (and none of the other Everton options appeal). Has anyone got any wisdom?

Antonio currently a must-have for me. Maybe would suggest both - but think there's still a slight fitness doubt over DCL? Wouldn't want to squeeze him in primarily for the Monday captaincy to have him miss that one.

There's the option to start with Antonio then get a 2-0 for DCL from Monday if he does start

No clarity on Raphi yet  But have decided to go with him regardless. Its next week and going forward that we need him anyway.

Given injury doubts over DCL decided to cover Everton with Pickford who have Good short-term fixtures, but have left enough in the budget for an upgrade to Mendy.

Marcal. A bit left field but great value, great fixtures, promising crossing stats and enables 3 big hitters up top.

Traore. I know the negs but I'll cite value, fixtures, shots, motm and captaincy potential plus one sunny day he is going to go ballistic 🤪

No Antonio hurts 😪 particularly as I'm a long suffering Iron ⚒ but as I'm more likely to captain the others, that clinched it. Was going to wait for Lukaku but getting him later gets messy and as we've got Ron covered Rom provides a cheeky captaincy differential tomorrow.
I have also left enough dough (in addition to Mendy) to afford the route to Kane.

So for better or for worse. Here it is

Pickford

Marcal...Webster...Cancelo...Rudiger.

Traore...Raphinha...Torres.

Ronaldo...Lukaku (c)...Salah.

£0.8 itb.

Good luck everyone :D

Thanks Coleridge. Only 4/5 players that are in my other team - so it will be interesting to see which does best.

Cheers Coleridge. Delighted with that - exciting team and now you can relax. Only 4 matching players to my other side, where I’ve managed to scratch all my other itches.

Loving you’ve stuck in Raphinha and Torres (doesn’t matter Raphinha will likely miss Sun). Surprised no VVD and 2 Wolves but worth it for that front line!

PS Everyone remember to stick Lukaku as capt v Villa then on Sunday it’s a free for all till the end of the season. No idea who’s in nets for a Villa tomorrow (Martinez only keeper listed in this) so Lukaku is a great shout.

I've only just realised there was another line-up to be decided upon. Been studiously ignoring FF for the last fortnight

Thanks for your efforts Coleridge :)

Looks like everyone got their team sorted :D Good job all.

Don't think we've ever had such a large pool of Good options to choose from, could comfortably have picked two completely different teams and not know which was best. Can't tell you what a relief its going be, only making decisions for one for the rest of the season

Sincerely hope I've got more right than wrong. After such a solid start would love to see us fighting out the iso league in the higher echelons of the overall league.

Of course I'm sure you would have all done things differently and you could of of if you'd been Good enough :P

Thanks for all your contributions and thanks to you all for playing again. 🤞 we all have a great season.

Looks like the only thing you got wrong was not foreseeing Webster's injury. :)

Thanks for another great line-up, Coleridge, you've done an amazing job. 👍

Agreed. I’ve played a straight bat so far and to be top 500 (top 1%?) with 40 subs left is down to some great starting line ups. If it all goes south from here it’s on us!

+1
I made the one transfer but am up to 120. Getting a nosebleed. Marcal was a work of genius, plus avoiding the Antonio red card. Thanks Coleridge.

Seconded on that Coleridge, very impressive, my other team also benifited from your idea of having that big three upfront. I think not having Antonio was a massive break, especially as both replecments scored so big. Now i'm a bit nervous to change anything without looking at your team first  .

Thanks for all the kind words :) but mostly Good fortune. I had Antonio and Christensen in my other team :( could of easily been this one.

Game week not done yet either. TAA or DCL could hurt us big. Think I'll get both to be on the safe side

No denying it though, beautifully positioned at the mo for a fun season . :D

Mendy 😱

Bother. Seems I’m not the only one taken by surprise there.

So Ronaldo’s still got it then. With so many strikers in form some serious armband dilemmas coming up.

Bit perturbed by the lack of passing bonus yesterday, especially VVD! Bought him in last week and I could forgive 58 passes vs Leeds, but yesterday looked like he did enough but apparently not :?

Well that was a mixed bag, probably more good than bad so I'll take it.

Ashers - ouch.

Nm - Good job with VVD. 55 passes yesterday  . Unlucky with Mendy but it'll be alight long term and within spiitting distance of the top 100. Oh and as for "Bother". Potty mouth  I eagerly await fiddlesticks.

Rick - de Gea and Alonso in. Hat doffed.

Yeah I think we’ve all gotta be pretty chuffed so far, I was only a Mendy absence away from the top 100 (which has apparently averaged 11 transfers )

Where did you find those passing stats by the way?

Lucky choice in the end, (especially with the pen save :o ) nearly went Mendy myself, but couldn't find a defender the right price I liked apart from Alonso. And didn't want to go into the next two fixtures with 3 Chelsea defenders. Lots of players not playing this week all over the shop.

Turned out alright for you Evvy. Torres definitely looks like the midweek man for now, while Sarr’s the man in form.

Had Salah capt till this morning, but played it safe with Ron in the end. VVD left his passing boots at home again. Hurrah for Cancelo.. bad day otherwise 😬
