GW38 Transfers - Deadline Sunday 26 July, 15:00

Post by Highlander12 »

Haven't seen a thread about this, probably because everyone is on Free Hit and it's just me debating how to use my last FT

Currently set up as this:

Pope (Martinez)
TAA Pieters C.Taylor (Doherty, Lascelles)
Sterling KDB Fernandes Martial (Saka)
Vardy Jesus Greenwood

If C.Taylor misses out, i'll play Doherty. To me the one that sticks out is Vardy, so I will probably take him out but only have up to 10.4m so no Auba/Kane for a FT.

So if he is starting i'm tempted to do Vardy  Lacazette. Doherty  Robertson is another option if I keep Vardy and C.Taylor is confirmed out.

A few will be FH'ing to something similar, and a I don't see a reason to sub out Goalden Boot chasing Vardy.

4 attackers in the Leicester v United game just seems a lot. This way I can just be counting on the large united win which doesn't seem impossible the way Leicester look with Morgan & Bennett starting and having to go for the win against the counter attacking united. But yeh...I could just do Doherty to Robertson.

no FH here and just 1 FT

Mane -> Sterling to protect my ML lead

the guy behind me has his TC chip left and looking at his squad, I'm pretty confident he'll use it on Sterling

Think it's so dependent on if we get early team news for city, might have to come up with some different options.

But yeah no FH is feeling fairly vulnerable

MU were very poor vs Chelsea compared to a few matches ago, with more than just Bruno looking sluggish, imho - ie a Leicester loss would be far from a shock, even if they have no defenders....

True but they did rotate a bit, maybe the west ham game will give us more info if it was just a one off.

Indeed. But I sense more clouding of the problem ie has Ole spunked their load to early and Devon Loched it?

I'm on FH and Vardy has been in every draft - Utd look leaky at the back and leg weary. Will review after Weds night but I'd be more worried about having three Utd attackers.

Very jealous of everyone with a free hit - had hoped to have two FTs, but three of my defenders (Lascelles, Holgate, Taylor) all got injured within the space of about a week so had to use one last week. Final transfer will likely be used put David Silva in for one of Mahrez/KDB if they don't start.

I have Doherty & Saiss against Chelsea so if the lineups are kind, I may just get another defender... and die of the boredom of it all.

1 FT, was thinking Vardy out for Auba or Jesus. Vardy, and Leicester in general, was looking completely toothless against Spurs. I can see ManU hitting them hard on the counter.

Saiss not starting is also a concern, as I dont have a playing bench anymore. Anyone know if he just got rested, or if theres a chance he'll miss out in 38 aswell?

I've been off and on him all season and generally missed his hauls but he remains top goal scorer with golden boot up for grabs and also 4th highest overall scorer.

I'm hoping for a final week boost to my rankings and the fact that he is a relative differential seems like he is worth sticking with. Not sure if I would include him if I was protecting my position.

I am not so sure whether I shall bet on a Burnley CS. I would prefer to bet on ManCity and get two of their defenders in, but with Pep you never know

Not if Bravo is back from injury, he needs one more game to get a medal (I think?).

I thought that had been scrapped and Citeh could order (and pay for) more.

At the moment who knows. I’ll probably wait to see how I’m placed come tomorrow night.

My mate is currently edging into the lead (+17) in my mates mini league. Both of us have TC to play. Cash league I’m currently 2 points behind but he has no chips left. Guy in 3rd currently 42 points behind with Free hit to play.

Currently have

Martinez/Pope

TAA Saiss Doherty Taylor Lascelles
Salah Foden Fernandes Martial Saka
Vardy Rashford Giroud

I’ve £2.9m in the bank.

For TC I’m thinking of getting David Silva in Triple captaining him. But would probably have to lose one of Fernandes/Martial. Other option is to TC Salah.

Up front Aubameyang and Kane are options possibly for Rashford which gives another TC option. If I bin Rashford I would have to get rid of one of Martial/Fernandes to get Silva in.

Other option is to take a dangerous -4 point hit to replace Giroud with a cheaper striker in addition to Rashford out for Kane/Auba. Then keep Martial/Fernandes and replace Foden with Silva.

Will wait and see - watching price rises too.

Defending a lead in 2 different mini leagues. Does anyone know if there will be price rises for Kane, Sterling, Ings & Pieters before Sunday?

Are you that tight for budget? Far better to ignore a tight transfer and wait and get it right than go early and miss key news imo.

Zero funds in bank if I make transfers now. Think you’re right though, will wait to Sunday before taking the hits. Panicking a bit after blowing substantial leads in the last 2 GW’s.

with all games kicking off at the same time it really depends on whether we get early team news - If we do I will probaly just use my two FTs to switch any of my starting 11 who aren't starting,

if we don't get team news or everyone is starting I might do ASM > Martial enabled by Greenwood > Connolly or ASM to Antonio and bring in an extra Burnley defender

Well it seems rude to go into the final game with anything less than 3 Man City attackers so probably looking at

Martial  Sterling
Fernandes  DSilva

This will cost -4 though so would be nice to see team news before making the final decision

Waiting for even a whiff of news about City's line-up to pick my TC. Current 3 City players (Foden, KDB, Laporte) won't cut it so one of them out for possibly Sterling or D Silva. Thinking of benching one of Fernandes or Rashford this week...

Thinking Lundstrum -> Aurier and Fernandes/Martial -> DSilva. Later is potentially a bit of a risk?

Actually struggling with what to do here. 8 points behind mini league leader going into final round of games and he has free hit.
Obviously i'll wait for team news but if everyone starts who do I ditch? Doherty  Robertson? and hope for Burnley/Liverpool clean sheets, city to run riot and a goal fest in the Leicester v United match.

Or do I get rid of one of the 4 attackers I have in that game...but who? only 0.7m in the bank.

Taking a -4 hit to accommodate Sterling as he pursues the golden boot.

So Mane and Ederson out.

Or KDB?Image
