Stay inside you obviously dont want to live in a world where u got a minute chance of dying.
I was being considerate to the people I am likely to pass it on to who are far more likely to be in trouble if they catch it.

But if you can guarantee that all the selfish wazzocks who don't give a stuff about anybody except themselves can avoid coming into contact with anyone at risk, will promise to stay off public transport for the next year, then fine.

There IS absolutely scientific proof that masks reduce the likelihood of you spreading it to others so they are beneficial.

What hasn't been scientifically proven yet is that selfishness is intrinsically linked to lack of intelligence, although there is a very good correlation Image

It certainly does.

In case you were being serious

If Masks Work, Why Can I Smell Farts?

A "fart" molecule - say sulpher dioxide SO2 - is orders of magnitude smaller than the corona virus - for example this image comparing the sizes of both as circles
so2corona.png
SO2 4 pixels
Corona 1664 pixels

and that's the virus itself not the droplets it's within that masks stop.

But cheap masks don't stop COVID-19?

My understanding it that they are more likely tostop the wearer spreading it than the wearer catching it. Is that true?

Thats the general idea, its for the good of the masses rather than to protect yourself (although does stop you touching your mouth as much)

Masks aren't too bad, but if you wear glasses and your employer forces you to wear a mask at work you may be entitled to condensation

In a little taste of what is to come when (if) we get a vaccine, the US has bought up the entire global stock of Remdesivir in a priority deal with Gilead.

they are paying about $200 a vial over the odds ($500 a vial or $3,000 a treatment course) for a preferential deal which buys up all production from now until September for exclusive use in the US.

Try reading this and not putting your head in your hands in despair. I can't decide whether I'd rather it is dishonesty or incompetence. Neither is palatable.

In summary, the only readily available "new cases" data is from the NHS testing. New cases from testing outside of this is essentially unreported, but now makes up around 90% of cases.

All it says is that it isn't publicly available.

They must have been analysing it to a degree to spot the Leicester spike/numbers and hopefully will pull their fingers out now to spot any others.

Yes. There are 2 lots of tests one by the Govt and one by Private Sector. They are only reporting Public Sector tests which have far less positives than the Private....

Who are "they".

If you mean a very small number of heavily politically influenced people working for a central government who have consistently acted almost criminally negligently throughout the pandemic then yes, "they" have it.

If you mean all the people who need the data, including local authorities, the Mayor's teams, local health authorities and people actually on the ground in problem areas who need it to advise and make real decisions, then no, "they" don't have it.

Just been down the local market- never seen it so busy. No social distancing, hundreds of shoppers, must have seen at least 10 people wearing face-masks.

Roll on Saturday.

Football is allowed, low volume, no cheering. Yeah good luck with that one. Oh and the derby and oaks are on the TV this Saturday too.

If people weren't dying this debacle would be hilarious 😔

Hey ho..... If it is a hot summer the Virus will be more likely to not spread etc but then the likelihood of riots go up 👏👏👏

Whose bright idea was it to reopen pubs on a Saturday?
