Re: The FISO Guide to FPL Price Changes & Price Change Query Thread
Alli dropped in price last night and I’ve now lost £0.4 on him. That’s a new record for me.

I'm about to go towards losing 0.4mn on Vardy whom I bought for 10.1mn. Who knows how much I'll end up losing on him but hopefully not more than my record which if memory serves, is 0.6mn on Walcott a few seasons ago!

Make that 0.5mn lost on Vardy. Nothing that Vardy can do will now make up for that! Even if he gets a hattrick, not even close.blahblah wrote: ↑15 Feb 2020, 13:52WalcottSutter Kane wrote: ↑15 Feb 2020, 13:44 I'm about to go towards losing 0.4mn on Vardy whom I bought for 10.1mn. Re: The FISO Guide to FPL Price Changes & Price Change Query Thread
Has anyone seen the mammoth number of players who have risen/dropped in the last couple of days? I’m sure some of them weren’t particularly near 100% either. Seems the FPL price algorithm has entered some kind of emergency ‘no one is playing the game’ protocol

Re: The FISO Guide to FPL Price Changes & Price Change Query Thread
There’s an alphabetical element to that - arsenal, Chelsea, Burnley the only midfield risers this week and they have seven between them!
Similarly 2 aresenal forwards, a crystal palace and. Vardy bucking then trend.
Less so defenders.

Re: The FISO Guide to FPL Price Changes & Price Change Query Thread
Well, presumably they were near 100%, but either the accuracy of the prediction tool(s) has broken down in the current rather odd FPL scenario, or as you suggest, the game has wandered off into some previously unexplored bit of code (or maybe both of those things are happening). It might be possible to lose a bit of squad value this way, although I haven't noticed any player whose price has fallen over the last 2-3 GWs being on the way to a quick second fall (yet). But then, if it is unpredictable, who knows?

Re: The FISO Guide to FPL Price Changes & Price Change Query Thread
I think FPL increases the price change speed to push managers making transfers and also give advantages to active managers. They fear more and more dead accounts will reduce the game attractiveness when PL comes back. It is frustrated because it breaks my transfer plan.

Re: The FISO Guide to FPL Price Changes & Price Change Query Thread
Something I should know, but don't. And your advice would be appreciated.
Is it possible for Liverpool players for example, to drop in price if people use free hits and replace them from their teams? This GW for example?

Re: The FISO Guide to FPL Price Changes & Price Change Query Thread
I believe that free hit transfers, similar to wildcard transfers, fall into the "non-effective" transfer category as described by Nigel, so a free hit transfer won't count toward a price drop.
If you are on a free hit, and the player's price changes, then that price change is reflected once your normal squad returns next GW (it's applied as if you always held the player).

Re: The FISO Guide to FPL Price Changes & Price Change Query Thread
Is it known for a fact that price change data from (up to) GW29 are still in effect? It occurred to me that along with unlimited free transfers and no rises or falls, they might reset the change counter to zero (so, just like at the start of the season). Do we know that won’t/can’t happen?

Re: The FISO Guide to FPL Price Changes & Price Change Query Thread
FPL never say anything about the algorithm, so we're always learning after the event. We unfortunately won't really know what's included until players actually change in value to provide data points.

Guess all NTI set to zero and people waiting to make changes. Some of those making them maybe activated WC or FH.

As per viewtopic.php?f=18&t=132195 none really expected yet. The tranfers so far this GW quite low compared to overall ownership.

Re: The FISO Guide to FPL Price Changes & Price Change Query Thread
There's also a note about this on the fpl statistics news page. The most likely scenario is that baselines have been reset and some recalibration will be required. Basically it's like the start of the season again as far as price change predictions are concerned and we wont know where we are with any accuracy until a few changes have happened.

The first price changes happened last night. 5 falls (3 from Arsenal and 2 from Villa). No rises.

Re: The FISO Guide to FPL Price Changes & Price Change Query Thread
I should really know this but can someone please remind me. Is there usually a few days before the price changes start happening?
[edit] Looking back through this thread, it looks like it wasn't until the 14th Aug last year that the first price changes occurred and I believe the season started on the 9th August.
However, I'm not sure if that was a one off that season.
Anyone got any thoughts on this please?

It's usually a few days, I would not be too worried about price changes at least until Tuesday morning, so we should get to see all the GW1 fixtures.

Re: The FISO Guide to FPL Price Changes & Price Change Query Thread
I'm loving the fact that FPL Stats has Patrick Bamford as the player currently closest to a rise. Not Kevin De Bruyne, or Bruno Fernandes or Anthony Martial, or Willian with his three assists, or even Mo Salah with his hat-trick.
Patrick bloody Bamford.

Re: The FISO Guide to FPL Price Changes & Price Change Query Thread
CTC is predicting Gabriel, Salah, Willian and Hendrick in that order as rising.
Bamford 10th likeliest to rise.
Very much guesswork though particularly in first few Gameweeks.

Willian and Bamford the first players to rise, Pépé the first one to fall.
