murf's virus supermarket delivery sweepstake!

Post by murf »

OK, I booked a tesco supermarket delivery for tomorrow afternoon (not bragging, did it a while back, but I thought I would let you share in my luck with a free sweepstake game!)

I have just amended our order and it comes to £173.10 (inc £1.50 delivery charge). I honestly don't know how much of it I'll get so was ordering on that basis. Will I starve? Will I need a bigger freezer? About £40 of booze in there which I am hopeful on as I like my Elvis Juice (the only brewdog on decent offer) and Mrs m likes her Zin. Maybe £15 on cleaning stuff but the rest is food.

Simple 'nearest wins' sweepstake, 1 guess each. Copy and paste the previous post, adding your own guess.

How much will my final bill be?
(Note - I couldn't order sold out stuff, max of 3 per item (including bananas) and have only allowed substitutions on some items, if I accept these substitutions then they count, otherwise not.)

As it's you, I'm going with a Liverpool block of Alisson, TAA & Robertson.

Do you usually shop like this? If so how much do you normally get delivered and\or accept?

My guess is that the Supermarkets will be back to normal in a few weeks, and probably before.

I don't normally do this but have done several times in the past. Usually get 90-95% of stuff right but I wouldn't normally trust them to get me fruit and veg.

Have heard that a fairly local, not too big, supermarket was relatively quiet and well stocked today. Staff not wearing gloves, no sanitising gel at entrance and people getting within 2m was all noted.

Went to my local large Sainsbury's this morning, quiet and well stocked generally. Probably all scared of getting arrested round here in dullsville.

About to head off shopping myself. Need to call and pick up a couple of prescriptions on the way. Even though the prescriptions are for the mother-in-law & her neighbour (aged 78 & 85), they can't deliver until next week as demand has been so high. Marvellous.

I went for the 'flexible slot' and I was sure the website said something about letting me know which hour it would be delivered in. Not a sausage....

That would be illegal (I've done my quota of one bit of exercise today) - or would it count as allowed shopping??

I've just seen an amount pending on my credit card account :D :D :D

I won't post it though as it would probably be about as accurate as TFF Live.
