Only 3 teams have 3 CSs. Are they dominating our league? Nope, 2nd, 5th and 9th.

Topspur doing well to lead with just 2 Leicester CSs (not getting a 3rd today...)

Lukasz Fabianski West Ham United Poland 3
Vicente Guaita Crystal Palace Spain 3
Ederson Manchester City Brazil 3
David de Gea Manchester United Spain 2
Rui Patrício Wolverhampton Wanderers Portugal 2
Martin Dubravka Newcastle United Slovakia 2
Angus Gunn Southampton England 2
Tom Heaton Aston Villa England 2
Dean Henderson Sheffield United England 2
Jordan Pickford Everton England 2
Nick Pope Burnley England 2
Mat Ryan Brighton and Hove Albion Australia 2
Adrián Liverpool Spain 2
Kasper Schmeichel Leicester City Denmark 2
Kepa Arrizabalaga Chelsea Spain 1
Bernd Leno Arsenal Germany 1
Hugo Lloris Tottenham France 1

(all by keeper rather than club but few clubs have used two keepers and none have 2 with CSs. I think.)

(all done before today - Edmo got a 3rd Brighton CS at lunchtime but was 60+ points off the podium)

The other would be SiBrown and his 20th placed Watford block.

While Leicester and Sheffield Utd are leading the way on CSs (5 each) it doesn't fully explain this league as City also have 5 and 2 of you have 4.:
1. Leicester City 5
2. Manchester City 5
3. Sheffield United 5
4. Brighton and Hove Albion 4
5. Burnley 4
6. AFC Bournemouth 3
7. Chelsea 3
8. Crystal Palace 3
9. Everton 3
10. Newcastle United 3
11. Watford 3
12. West Ham United 3
13. Wolverhampton Wanderers 3
14. Arsenal 2
15. Aston Villa 2
16. Liverpool 2
17. Manchester United 2
18. Southampton 2
19. Norwich City 1
20. Tottenham Hotspur 1

Consistent appearances play a part as well - impossible to pick up 5 City block clean sheets without blowing a load of transfers (even Ederson hasn't been there 100%).

But yes, the top 2 certainly have opened up a healthy gap on the rest. If only Leicester and Sheffield Utd were top in real life rather than Liverpool and City...

Close with less than a block CS (25pts) from 3rd to 9th.

Yep, found that helped me last year with Palace. 5 (or even 6) set and leave cheapoes gives room for more fun up top.

GW15 update

Topspurs' Leicester block strides well ahead with only murf's Sheffield Utd block providing any challenge. A huge gap to thebillfella's Villa block and zipnolan's Burnley block in 3rd and 4th respectively means the top 2 already look unlikely to be caught. At the other end remain blah's Bournemouth block, geoffv's Arsenal block and bigbaddod's Newcastle block with workie's Chelsea block still rock bottom :o

So.

Norwich keep a CS and a defender scores.

I am 3rd for the week overall on TFF. I am 5pts behind the leader for the week. I have 2 trannies left, and obviously I am banned from changing my Canary defenders, so it is 2 Arsenal mids or forwards for tomorrow night.

Obviously I will wait for the teamsheet, but any suggestions gratefully accepted.

(and this after my Egg team managed 8th overall last week!)

Depends if (you think) the leader is going for it.
You can't go against the grain (Pompey players!) so maybe should avoid the biggest hitters IF you think your rivals are going for it and will do the obvious.

well the leader's team name implies a block entrant, so I am guessing he is. And yes, take your point. With no defenders to consider, it does at least limit options.

I am close enough that one goal from a less obvious source could seal it, but then I am assuming the leader does not already have Auba or similar.

1 game left.

I had Jota, Jimenez and Bruno today, which worked out rather well.

Ozil is a good shout. I think I have to have Auba, if only to cancel out what others might have, and then ...

Ozil has been playing better than his FF returns, imho, and could trash the Pompeii defence.

I would wait for the line ups though...

my options are any 2 from:

Auba
Laca
Nketiah
Torreira
Ceballos
Guendouzi
M-Niles
Saka
Martinelli
Willock
Xhaka
Ozil
Nelson
Pepe

Might this be Laca's chance for a much needed haul?

Nkeitah or Martinelli would be on my shortlist, as both are good now and should be very very good in the near future.

Your call if it's Auba plus one or 2 less illustrious names, or real leftfield choice of one who is benched at the start as no one in their right mind would pick them....

How good is your score really?

Just need to know, on that basis, whether it took 0 or 5 transfers to be ahead of you. If he has done none you are basically foo*ed. If he has used 5 you can get the 2 biggest names and just need a KC.

Could be a few beliw you with 3-5 left.

Was all so much easier back in the day when you could assume they were mostly going for it as weekly entrants!
