Garage paint.
Anyone ever used this stuff? I'm having great fun at the moment with some garage paint. It's touch dry in two hours and ready for a second coat after six. It turns out that it's still to wet to stand on after twenty seven hours and so far I have fused two extension cables trying to keep a blow heater on it.

Re: Garage paint.
Is it actually floor paint? I've used that in the past with some success....

Re: Garage paint.
Can I come and watch it dry next time there is some Monday Night Football on?
Or I could just listen to it if Michael Owen is commentating.
(maybe don't leave the garage door open exposed to the rain and wind in these storms. Just an idea.)

Re: Garage paint.
I should have been a bit more specific. I'm using it on the floor of the alcove under the stairs in the house.

Ah, I'm an expert on this - I've seen Trainspotting - so take my advice and don't trust anything the floor tells you when you are using.Spinynorman wrote: ↑14 Jan 2020, 13:35 I'm using on the floor of the alcove under the stairs in the house.
Under the stairs.... hmmm .... could be an interesting film mash up: Harry Potter Goes Trainspotting

It "sets" quickly etc.....
Otherwise just be patient and don't knee-jerk a WC etc...

Re: Garage paint.
It tells you to do at least two coats but I may have to give that a miss.

If you get it too hot it changes the chemical composition and it never sets.

Re: Garage paint.
Can you post a photo of the product label? I hope it is not a two part mix and they only sold you one part . I have used a two part paint mix on concrete garage floors in high traffic areas.

Re: Garage paint.
It is now dry.
I'm going to leave it at just one coat.

Re: Garage paint.
I feel your moist pain...we bought some paint for internal woodwork which wouldn't friggin' dry for days, kept putting my hand on the banisters and then having to repaint those bits, which then extended the drying time further.
Unbelievably, I even came home one evening and hung my coat by the hood on the banisters ...then had to clean it all off with white spirit, luckily it all came out
