GW21 Captain

Post by tarkens »

On paper Liverpool's fixture looks good but are they going to rotate against Sheffield or field their strongest XI and rest players against Everton in FA Cup few days later?

I'd captain Pukki if I had him.

Vardy C Rashford V

Id put it on Man City or Liverpool normally but these the type of fixtures at home they could quite easily rotate and im just going for a captain i think is guaranteed to start

Currently Salah (c), Aguero (vc) however if there’s any indication that Aguero will defintely start then I’ll switch it around.

currently Salah C and Mane VC but looks another open GW.

Also considering KDB (four double digit home hauls so far) and with Vardy (and pretty much most of the 1st Leicester 11) fully rested he could be a great option.

Got a feeling that United will rip through Arsenal so also looking at Rashford & Martial.

Seeing how Villa are currently playing then anybody with Chris Wood could have a great option.

Vardy didn’t play. But as he became a dad this week ‘rested’ may be open for interpretation. I’ll play him but won’t band him for that reason
Currently Salah (c), Mané (vc) again. Switching is tempting and also feels like chasing last week’s points

Vardy, since he's just been rested (whether or not he feels rested is another thing, but surely he wants to score one for the baby?).

Otherwise would consider Mane, TAA or KDB, but I have an eerie feeling some of them might be benched.

I have this feeling too, may be a week to keep a close eye on press conferences for clues.

Lets hope he don't have a shirt with baby on to celebrate on and picks up a silly yellow for lifting his shirt.

He got 12 points past time they played Newcastle as well

Currently on Vardy but as someone with a newborn I share some of the concerns above about how "rested" he will be. May switch to KdB who's done me proud in recent weeks.

Originally thought Vardy but no doubt we’ll set up with 5 at the back and aim to counter. We’re relatively solid at SJP so I think i’ll go Mané or KDB.

Out of our last 10 home games we’ve won 4, drew 5 and lost 1 (conceding 9 in total, 2 against Everton and City)

As well as the above, I keep hearing that newborn babies are exhausting

I'm sure they have Nannies etc.....

KdB atm, but If I shift Kane then Auba or Kun are in the frame, despite having Vardy and Martial who is less unlikely than Vardy....

On KdB for now...

Don’t have Vardy but I would captain him if I had him - I have seen several fantasy players perform well right after a newborn.

Really tough one. Torn between Mane, Vardy and Kane.

I'm tempted to switch to Vardy (c). Currently on Mane but could also go Sterling, KDB or Jimenez. Tough call this week again.

I feel this week im picking a captain just based on who im am 100% certain will start rather than who i think will get the most points.

Im on Vardy C and Rashford V

But really feel, KDB or Sterling or the liverpool connection will score more if start.

I just don't want that dreaded 1 point late cameo when can play it sensible.

Anyone else thinking similar this week ?

I have been thinking long and hard about this. I have mane at the moment and am now happy, it will be 5 days since Liverpool’s last game and Klopp won’t care about the FA cup game one bit even if it’s a derby. I also think KDB will start, I don’t think Pep thinks he can win a game without him at the moment and he’s probably right. Sterling I’m less sure about but I think he’ll probably start too.

Troy Deeney had a baby (well not him exactly...) on Christmas day and has scored 3 goals in a week since then.

Although I have him, I'll probably slap it on Vardy as well but more tempted by TAA and Martial (although this is the third time I've brought him in this season..)

Mostly American sports like MLB and NFL - but there’s something about the de-shackling of all stress and worry pre-birth, and players just go out and perform freely and happily right after.
