Ouch. That's tough luck.
It also suggests that the rankings are incredibly tight between 1 & 2 million and one decent week should see a significant rise - at least that's my hope. I am 3 pts and nearly 150k places ahead of you, so 50k places a point. Beat the average by 10 points and that's a massive climb.

GW11
I have spent the week away from FPL and gone for the rather dull Adrian to Gazzaniga this week
That means retention of the likes of Aguero, Otamendi and Pukki. Yes, there’s risk, but given the outcomes of the last couple of weeks I am confident of a green arrow should they be in the points
I’m just not confident that they’ll all be in the points

What a difference a day makes!

68 with Söyünçu to play
Usual Captain fail. As usual. Thing is, when you’re in receipt of a 21 point haul from a defender and a handful of other returns including two more in double figures, it matters a bit less.
For GW12
Aguero to Vardy
Maybe CHO to Tielemans for a hit. Whilst I could stretch to Maddison I wonder if Tielemans and a bit more in the kitty isn’t the better option. It’d allow, for example, Otamendi to Robertson next week too. Any thoughts?

If it allows Otamendi to Robertson, then I think that’s the right move. There’s some nice options coming into play around the 6m mark if you need to jump off Tielemans: McGinn, grealish, trossard, yarmolenko. The stats guys were all over trossard before his injury.

Thanks TF. Trossard scored yesterday as well. I’m put off by his next run of games though, they could hardly be more difficult.
My criteria for the position is someone who I will happily have in my first 11. I have Hayden as my 8th Mid/Fwd, and Pukki treading water in there as well. They can be benched periodically, but it is a regular playing position.
To enable the Robertson move my actual budget is currently £7.3m. There will be price swings by the time I Action the plan though so maybe £0.2m less. Are there any other options people can think of around that value?

GW11 Final
The one to play was Söyünçu. 82 all out. Even with a couple of decent scores on the bench this is my best game week so far this season.
It means I am back where I was a fortnight ago, which is great.
And four weeks ago. And seven weeks ago! I’ve stagnated GW12 Transfers
Vardy is in already
Tielemans? For a hit? are the two main decisions

GW12
67(-4), 740k GW ranking, Green arrow, up to 720k
I suppose one way of looking at that is up towards the top 10% now there are over 7m players. Still a bit pants for this time of year.
Transfers
Vardy in and captained worked a peach
Tielemans in for a hit was points neutral (6, cf 2 for CHO) plus a better team moving forward.
As for next week, Robertson has already come in for Otamendi prior to price movements for each. That leaves Pukki on borrowed time and with negative value, and Digne on his way out soon after his one remaining good fixture.
No more hits this week though. Will it be enough to retain my Divisionals Prem status? Not looking like it - AR, there’s no point gunning for me, we’re both doomed!

GW13
So far, so good. With the game week still live I’ll make a note later
Upcoming Transfers
This week, one transfer, likely to be Pukki to Ings*
Here’s where it gets a bit sketchy. Next week I finally plan to relieve Digne of his bench duties. A cheap alternative should leave me enough to bring in Son or another Spurs midfielder the following week. With Robertson, TAA, Söyünçu and Lundstram in my team already I only need a playing bench warmer with a reasonable GW18.
Price changes will have an impact though. He’d currently need to cost £4.1m and that is with Son at current value.
*So is there an alternate forward sub-£6m that I should be considering instead?

Re: Paw's for thought
Fair question. They have to play. They’re ideally going to be starting 11. At that price they can be 12th man alongside the cheap defender and Hayden. There’d usually be someone else with a poor fixture though so I want this player to be a contender.
I haven’t posted my current team for a while. Here it is: I can raise a bit more by downgrading one of my goalkeepers (you were right, wrong one on the bench this week as well). That just kicks the target transfer down the road though and the difference in value will probably all be eaten up by Spurs price rises if they continue to be the attractive transfer in

Re: Paw's for thought
I don't need to be told I'm right about GK Rotation as it is borderline impossible
Kaspar is doing well for me since (the then top scoring GK) Fab broke.
I like that XI to start every GW although Martial would look good in there and a 2nd Fox atb? With Mount vs Pullasicky a close call....
JAyew is starting and is cheap? I'm not jumping in Spurs just yet, but I sense Alli and Lucas could be better value than Son and Kane. I think the defence is definitely not worth jumping on until some competence is shown....

Thanks. It’s always risky to claim that the squad is set for a few weeks. Last time I did that I lost 1m rank the following fortnight!
I was never questioning you about keeper choice, more lamenting the way it is going for me. Anyway, moving on from that...
I can’t currently bring in a 2nd Fox atb with Söyünçu, Vardy and Tielemans in the squad already. If I do upgrade a midfielder to a Spurs player it’d probably be for Tielemans (or Mount) that would then free up a slot. Shame their GW18 is so poor
Martial/Maddison/Mount/Tielemans/Pusilic - there are upsides to each. Ditto Rashford, but he’s out of my price range right now.

Probably not, but I'll probably take a hit after GW1 The plan is to shift Auba to Tammy and then redistribute the money but having hung onto Auba for so long it doesn't make any sense before Norwich next week (arguably I should also hold for BHA). Although Arsenal are such a mess, he was only inches (or a GK's foot) away from double-digits this week. I'm pretty OK with my team for next week (mind you I have said that numerous times this season), so I will probably roll the transfer.Smurphy's Paw wrote: ↑24 Nov 2019, 13:45 To get straight back up are you going to take hits before GW1 when they don’t count?

Yes, he’s the one who I’d be comfortable replacing.
Having Martial would mean having no Spur. I agree with you that they’re not yet essential, although failing to create enough budget for them whilst I am reorganising would be a mistake.
One step at a time. Pukki. Then Digne.
By then we’ll have a clearer picture about the midfield

re Pukki my point is more who you replace him with. I doubt you need more than JAyew or (my) Martinelli as Dendoncker and Hayden are ok bench bods?
I've a regular 532 atm as Tammy is just too good to go 541. The problem is that I'd struggle to get a Spud midfielder in unless\until Martial breaks...

GW13 Summary 65 all out, green arrow
Not sure about rankings yet with Villa v Newcastle still to play. Currently 703k for the week and up from 720k to 543k OR. It’ll drop a bit I’d imagine, but not by much.
(Edit: 969k GWR; 587k OR)
Thanks blah for the thoughts. I guess the difference between Ayew, Pukki and Ings is that Ings has a couple of genuinely attractive fixtures. Instead of Ayew I might as well ride out the £0.1m loss on Pukki who I think is a better player; and move first to dropping Digne.
Digne surely has to go soon. I can’t see Everton coming out of their upcoming 5 fixtures unscathed and with their current manager. Leicester, Liverpool, Chelsea, Man U, Arsenal on the bounce would challenge Man City, never mind Everton on current form. Not this week though. He can pick up more splinters for the week

Re: Paw's for thought
GW14/GW15 55 points, 2.7m GW rank, 520k OR green arrow up 60k
So another week and a modest rise. KdB, TAA and new boy Ings did the business. Vardy played, saved Lundstram the pressure of doubling up and picked up par points for him. He’ll get the armband again in GW15.
Both GWs 14&15 see most of my team at home. That being the case it’s difficult to see one single transfer that improves the team this week and also over time. The long planned Digne transfer is still on the cards. However with price drops not being an issue this GW (I lose nothing on another Abraham fall) I may hold to give 2FT flexibility for GW16. Transfer options
Abraham but only if he’s out for a while
Digne to xxxx
Mount to Alli
The other reason for holding is I have the last minute nerves around bringing in Baldock/O’Connell. I already have Lundstram so the second Blade is to gain on the pack. However I’ve looked at fixtures and I don’t know when they’d get in. I’m almost tempted to go for Henderson at GK2 and a cheapy at D5 - Kelly/Rico. Or Willems for his attractive GW18.
The help I could do with is an objective view on especially D5. Being an Owl I am grudgingly impressed by the Blades this year. But not completely objective!

GW15 - bye bye Digne 1m GW; 437k OR
(Thanks for coming. You’ve been average. Come back when you’ve got less time!)
With Lundy to play I’m on a creditable 63 after bonuses. Edit: 64 all out
Points came from Ings, Abraham and Vardy who all scored, whilst Mané was on fire.
Mount on the bench is a shame, but was him, Abraham or Söyünçu so little difference and could have been worse.
GW16 Transfers Digne to Kelly
Tielemans to Alli
Digne. Alli. Nuff said
Tielemans was a toss up with Mount. If Mount is in form I think he has the higher points ceiling.
Kelly. A pragmatic move. Targett would have been better for the weeks I want him (GW18). However Kelly leaves me with the exact money in the bank to go from Mount to Pulisic if there are no price changes in the next couple of days. Or for a hit.

67 points, up from 437k to 374k
Hold the transfer
Maybe bench boost?
