Hmmm well I just switched over to the 4k HDR stream (Burnley v City) and the quality is less impressive. Some definite blurring (and sudden clearing) of the pitch as the camera pans during fast action, which when it happens close to your eye looks like a sort of sudden colour shift. Could be the HDR maybe, but certainly not something I notice with Sky Q.

When there's slower action the stream is really good quality, however, I'm not getting the jerking that blah and Billy are, but maybe they paid extra for that...

Well I’ve learned to set up Prime on the TV so that’s a mark in the plus column today.

We have super fast broadband but the picture quality, whilst watchable, is not a patch on BT or Sky.
What is absolutely below par is the ball. I had smoother pixelation on my old ZXSpectrum than they’re managing for a ball hit at pace

Agree re the ball. But they've lucked out on their first Prime goal. A beaut.

Wasn’t it just. And when they slowed it down on replay it looked even better 😂

Picture seems a bit better for now, wasn’t great to start.

Tested the delay at HT. Amazon 14 seconds behind LiveScore alert.

Yep, they will need to sort this out of anyone is going to take them seriously. It's basically like a decent quality pirate stream.

My picture on Amazon was excellent and nice to watch a live football match in full 4K (2160p) at 60 Hz (I am left wondering if I have ever done that before?) it was vastly superior to the 720p/25fps stuff that Sky claims is HD, it’s not, BT’s 1080p/50 is probably minimum for HD but neither are anywhere close to what I have just watched on Amazon Prime.

I watched on a big 4K TV through a PC that has an 8GB video card. By far the best quality picture I have ever seen for live football.

I just watched it on my laptop (Infinity BB). Ease of use was good. Picture seemed ok for me the majority of the time but a couple of times it randomly downgraded my quality to blurry (to the point I couldnt tell the players apart). There was no setting to get it back up sharp (and sometimes it didnt auto upgrade like it usually does) so I had to keep refreshing the browser. Not that impressed tbh but truth is I will keep paying as long as they have games

Been inconsistent for me. Was blurry using the prime app on my Virgin tivo box tonight. Worked much better using the app on my TV. But still sometimes choppy, and the ball blurs when moving fast.

I have 200mb, so not an issue with my bb. Must be to do with my devices.

Great image tonight, although the "sports mode filter" they automatically added to the pitch was annoying. The pitch in the Chelsea game had this insanely green colour and during the Liverpool derby the colour green sometimes switched in brightness.

I gave up
Some of the passes in the Liverpool game were sublime on replay.
I was only fully able to appreciate the beauty on replay though. The ⚽️ Is the most important element and too often it just looked like a 2D disc. That’s on super fast broadband and tech that usually has no issue. Not good enough

Really weird how some say it was great (inc my phone) and some not as impressed (me on laptop). Generally the bigger devices were worse (suggesting bandwidth issues??) but not always as have seen comments saying 65" HD TV was great. Personally I thought it was to do with device quality (i.e. more modern components) but can't be sure. I didn't have any major issues with following the ball, even on my laptop (relatively old and low spec) it was similar to an SD (i.e. non HD) broadcast just had the overall quality drop regularly (and soon came back) and had no buffering until the last few minutes of the game.

Really impressed with the 'all game' channel option which I could have open on one device while watching Liverpool properly on another.

My major grump was that there was no obvious drop down menu (or similar) to switch between games. Easily fixed.

This was the garlic bread of football broadcasting. Taste the future.

Is that full android or just a 'smart' system?

Mainly asking cos I am after a new Smart UHD telly (I generally trust Sony most) and have read bad reviews of app availability and app use of Sonys and others without full android....

Its Android TV

Its absolutely fine ( maybe an anal nerd in a forum who looks are every minute detail may have an opinion )

But for some reason the football was sharp but motion wasn't right in the app, it's like the processor in the TV was applied to the app.

On my tablet the it was perfect , which is Samsung and Android 9

Just got Android 10 on the phone will give that a while tonight

AVForums is a good place to ask. Just give them your budget, sort of stuff you watch, how big and from how far\where (straight on from angles).

Personally can vouch for the LG C series (I have last year's C8 while a family member has this year's C9). Handled the Amazon stream of the Arsenal and Liverpool matches flawlessly, and the first UHD HDR match of Amazon's I tried (Burney V City) was great once I'd adjusted a setting or two.
