Adrian replacement
If Allison to be back at the weekend (or somewhere near) when he is,who are folk thinking as the best replacement if you already have an equal measure of pool & city defenders,Allison or Ederson??

Re: Adrian replacement
Ederson has the better immediate fixtures... but neither are as tight as last year.
Would have to revisit, but I seem to think the tougher fixtures are more likely to draw clean sheets... instinct thinks they’ll be 4-3 type games, but more likely to be 0-0 or 1-0.
EDIT: 3/10 for Liverpool last season (overall it was 22/38 I think).
City managed 6/10 (compared to 21/38)

Re: Adrian replacement
Surely Gazziniga of spurs is worth a shout even though they are shite and you could have an elite defence and midfield with the extra.
Theres no value in keepers this year. Ederson has about 10 points more than 2.2m or cheaper Henderson of Sheffield united. That 2.2m would certainly make more points elsewhere and if you pick Gazziniga that would be almost 3m more for the rest of your team.

I doubt it’ll be who who you want for many teams but who you can actually afford.

Re: Adrian replacement
only 16 players attained more than 200 points last season.
In position 15 was Allison with 209.
Fwiw Ederson was 25th with 178
Interestingly Liverpool 's so called leaky defence, without Allison, happens to be the meanest defence in the Premier league thus far conceding just 6 goals.
2 clean sheets and 6 games where they conceded just 1 goal.

Rui Patricio - should’ve got rid before Friday though and made the 0.2 price swing

Re: Adrian replacement
Problem is there is no value in them top keepers at the moment. There could be runs later on or predicted good runs in the future but I doubt Liverpool will have it easy the next 4 or 5 weeks.Dot wrote: ↑12 Oct 2019, 22:03 only 16 players attained more than 200 points last season.

Citys defence is dodgy as so Ederson isn't a given either.
This year could be the year of having a relatively cheap goalkeeper with a stronger outfield 10. I dont see any logic having Ederson in at 4.4m over a Patricio or similarly priced keeper.
Can you gain more points with the extra 2.6m? More than likely.

Re: Adrian replacement
Would think any team who has or wants a mix of City and Liverpool in defence will have Ederson over Allison.

Think one would have to be on drugs if you put City's present back four in front of Liverpool's.channel442 wrote: ↑13 Oct 2019, 00:01 Would think any team who has or wants a mix of City and Liverpool in defence will have Ederson over Allison.

Re: Adrian replacement
Think it would be a waste of a transfer to take Ederson out for Allison at this early stage, Liverpool haven't exactly been watertight , granted Allison has been missing but Pep has had to tweak also which has put pressure on the back four and then there is Otamendi who is a disaster.Dot wrote: ↑13 Oct 2019, 09:19Think one would have to be on drugs if you put City's present back four in front of Liverpool's.channel442 wrote: ↑13 Oct 2019, 00:01 Would think any team who has or wants a mix of City and Liverpool in defence will have Ederson over Allison.

Re: Adrian replacement
Liverpool have missed Allison and reckon those Clean Sheets will be Lenor Fresh once he is fit and back in goal. Those who kept faith with the Liverpool Blocks will be flying up the table soon. Looks like Pope/Patricio are good cheap replacements or Schmeichel, for a bit more but Leicester have some good fixtures coming their way.
