I’ve got into a habit of transferring players before price rises instead of waiting for injury and team news. They haven’t gone well.
So probably something but not deciding yet

Early thoughts are Pukki and Cantwell out.

If Connolly is a genuine playing (and perhaps decent) 4.5m striker then that will free up the money to play my preferred 5 man midfield.

Something like Pukki/Cantwell to Connolly and Martial/Maddison/Yarmolenko

Looking like;
Martinelli to Vardy
MN to Leicester Def
Martial to some cheap starting bod for bench.

For -4

Leicester definitely look worthy of investment, it's just how to achieve it.

Pukki + Cantwell out with 2 FT's and 2.7m in bank. Martinelli perhaps with upgrade or 2 of midfield / defence

Which will lead to Pukki scoring a brace and zilch for Wilson. The FPL way.

So true. But Pukki's price probably nose diving, and you have to admit that Norwich did not look the team that beat Man City.

Fortunately I bought Pukki early so that I can watch the first price drop without any worries.

Even though I like Pukki a lot and I am sure he will score lots more, but the weakness of Norwich's defence is just very tempting.

Pukki & Cantwell to Connolly and Maddison.

I want to go five in midfield and I want a Leicester player for their coming fixture run, this looks the best way to do it and jumps off the Norwich train wreck before the prices plunge.

This is a good shout. I do worry at replacing Pukki - he should be a season keeper but then who says Maddison isn't as important for their run now...

Could replace Robertson with Soyuncu instead to fund the Cantwell to Maddison move...only problem is, I think I'd have to do that tonight.

Norwich have quite a tough run now and with all their injuries and defensive frailities it's hard to see where they will pick up points.

I can sell Pukki for 6.9 and I reckon he won't be far away from that after price drops so when their fixtures turn (GW15-19) I can always look to bring him back although Norwich look so poor at the moment I may not want him back, they've only got 1 goal in the last three games in what was a good run of fixtures.

I'd back Maddison to outscore Pukki for sure and Connolly can be decent sub to replace Cantwell.

+1

Really difficult to resist the urge to use the wildcard.

true, but Norwich are starting to remind me of Blackpool in their premier league season, started well, scored goals and then their lack of a squad and any depth meant they just plunged to relegation as the season went on.

Pukki will still pick up points but I'm starting to see better options, I already have Wilson and Abraham and they both look much better than Pukki and play in much stronger teams, if I want Maddison then Pukki looks the best fall guy.

he got a knock, but doesn't matter as I'd be playing a strong 5 man midfield so he's only a sub and not always 1st sub depending on who Lundsrtram was playing, basically I think Maddison beats Pukki over the coming weeks so just need a 4.5m striker and if Connolly is playing then he's the man.
