Re: GW 5 Captain
Had it on Kane but switched to Sterling after Aarons injury probably keeping him out...
Dont even know who Norwich's backup is (Byram?), but Sterling could have a field day.

Re: GW 5 Captain
Sterling for me. He is in the form of his life.
We will have 5 at the back and make it tough for Liverpool. I expect Norwich to be more open and concede 3+.

Max Aarons joins centre backs Christoph Zimmermann and Timm Klose in the physios' room. Hanley should be fit for the weekend.
This + Norwich playing attacking football settles it for me.

Re: GW 5 Captain
Have both Salah and Sterling and I haven’t a clue.
My mind was set on Salah before this week but the doubt creeps in then.

Re: GW 5 Captain
This is the closest I've felt it's been so far this season and am another who hasn't decided yet.
My instinct is Sterling may edge it based on the quality of the opposing defence, but I've learnt that I tend to underrate home advantage so that could well be incorrect. Fighting that, there's also a slight big fish medium fish thing, where I can envisage Sterling not being involved in any goals far more than I can envisage Salah not being involved - however, again, the stats disagree with my interpretation with both having 36% goal involvement last season. Though now Salah has pens.
Tough one.

Re: GW 5 Captain
A lot of talk on the man city forum that Sterling could be rested against Norwich tomorrow as he has played a lot of football.
Quite a few predictive line up showing Mahrez and Bilva playing off Aguero

Re: GW 5 Captain
100% they will.
I see liverpool winning 1-0 or 2-0 where as Man city could be 6-1 or 7-2 if they play the way they are and Norwich come out attacking with all there injury problems

Re: GW 5 Captain
Same as above, Sterling (c) KDB (vc)
I am worried about the potential for Sterling being rested, but with Pep its anyones guess.
If i had Aguero, he would be my pick.

Re: GW 5 Captain
Norwich don't even have that option.
Daniel Farke:“Even if I wanted to, I couldn’t park the bus against Manchester City because I have no defensive players.”
Ergo:
Still not sure who, leaning to Kun.

Sounds like Jesus is available, so some risk there, otherwise I’d be on it too!From4corners wrote:Norwich don't even have that option.

Anyone thinking of triple captaining Sterling against Norwich?

Been on Salah or week but switched to Sterling due to all the injuries. I don't think he will be rested tomorrow too early in the season for that and he's just hitting his stride now.

Coin flip this week. So laid out the pros and cons to the wife and she thought it was a no-brainer. Sterling(C) and Salah(VC)
Ready to rumble.

Re: GW 5 Captain
So you're picking the inferior one. Cue...Salah and Sterling 15 points, KDB 7 points! Not sure that logic is a good base for decisions but good luck anyway! Could be a big pay off.

Re: GW 5 Captain
De Bruyne is in great form and isn't being rumoured to be rested like Sterling, while having easier opponents than Salah. I mean it isn't the worst decision. I am kind of tempted myself.

Re: GW 5 Captain
Going with Sterling over Salah. I can't see how anyone can predict Pep so hoping he'll want to capitalise on Sterling's form rather than messing about.

Oddly enough, I'm more worried about KDB than Sterling due to Pep saying at the start of the season that they'll need to manage his minutes!math! wrote:De Bruyne is in great form and isn't being rumoured to be rested like Sterling, while having easier opponents than Salah.
