GW 5 Captain
Bit early with the Intl break but who do you fancy?
First instinct was Sterling but don't think Salah has any games to play with Egypt nor his buddy Mane for Senegal and Mo has hauled in his 2 home games so far. Might still get Aguero on my wildcard if so I would go with him. Salah(C) Sterling(VC)...for now.

I'm thinking of (TC) Sterling tbh.. but yes, there's a slight chance of minutes being managed. Depends indirectly on Jesus news.RuudTheDudeVanTheMan wrote: Bit early with the Intl break but who do you fancy?

Re: GW 5 Captain
Im going with Sterling as I dont have Salah and thinking Sterling is the better option over Mané.
Also i captained Kane against NEW and im not doing that mistake again.
Norwich has conceeded 10 goals so far (most in the leauge) compared to Newcastles 5 goals.
Hopefully alot going for Salah (best game when your looking fast at the colours) and Sterling wil get the hatty. City should score atleast 4 goals away to Norwich. Fancy that Norwich away is a better game for City, then Norwich home (as they will attack more).

Was on Salah till i read this and i agree with you and will now swap my captain to Sterling.
I will also come back and abuse you when Salah who has great home form, gets a brace and sterling blanks

Will Salah's angry teammates make him a bit goal shy looking for the pass?
I'm going Aguero C

Last season in Dec they won 4-0 with Salah getting one goal. Newcastle played 5 at the back, took a Lovren header to break them down, before the goals came flooding in.

Also think getting Zimmerman back for Norwich is the key for them. Otherwise Aguero / Sterling could go crazy.

Re: GW 5 Captain
yes but 4 of those ten goals were conceded at Anfield and although newcastle only conceded 3 in two away games they had 32 shots against them , however Norwich at home in two games conceded 35 shots , so i'm still undecidedgoooner wrote: ↑03 Sep 2019, 21:45 Im going with Sterling as I dont have Salah and thinking Sterling is the better option over Mané.

The way Salah plays, in my view, he'll improve his output if he learns to make the right pass occasionally instead of always going for goal.

Re: GW 5 Captain
Sterling (c) Salah (v)
I've watched Norwich a few times this season and i think Farke will continue to play his philosophy by being brave on the ball. You simply cannot do that against City and not expect to concede 3+. Gaps will be there for Sterling, it's whether he has the conviction in the final third (which he certainly has in 2019).
Newcastle could easily get well beaten, but they'll go with a back 5 with the aim to frustrate Liverpool. Norwich simply won't do that.

Re: GW 5 Captain
I think you could literally flip a coin between Sterling and Salah this week.
Salah does well when i dont pick him so expect him to do well now.

Re: GW 5 Captain
think I'm going to roll the dice with Aguero (C) Sterling (VC)
That said, I seem to have a distant memory that I captained Aguero after a two week holiday he had last season and then he did nothing against one of the poor teams and came off before 60 mins. I cant find the exact example but i am sure it happened.

Re: GW 5 Captain
Had it on Sterling all week. Switched to Aguero today due to rotation worries but let's see how many minutes Sterling gets tonight. I'll probably stick with Aguero anyway as I'm the most sure he'll start out of the two.

Re: GW 5 Captain
True. I'm personally hoping Jesus is declared unfit for this game or rather, the week. WAT may not be so fruitful now but this is (TC) territory *stretches neck muscles*Sutter Kane wrote: ↑10 Sep 2019, 18:20 Had it on Sterling all week. Im going to this game tonight and Pep is managing them, so i reckon he just come on for last 10 mins if needed.germainelefoe wrote: ↑11 Sep 2019, 10:02 Aguero is playing tonight........imagine he pulls a muscle or something in this game!

With the age of the other team in defence i dont see it being a fast past game, where he would even need to pick up enough speed to pull anything haha.
