Gameweek 2 captain
For me it is Auba, but also highly tempted to KDB...

After seeing Southampton's shambolic defending on Saturday, it's definitely Salah for me.

Re: Gameweek 2 captain
Agüero loves to play the major competitors and usually scores big
Aubemeyang does extremely well against Burnley
Kane has started scoring in August.
Salah plays a seemingly poor defence of Southampton.
After a good start I wonder whether I should play it safe and put the armband on Salah or whether I shall take a risk on either of the first two. Fortunately there is still a week to think about it.

Seems a shame given I picked Auba pretty much to captain him here but given how poor Saints looked and Burnley looked decent at both ends my armband is currently on Salah.

No Salah so strongest options are Sterling or Kane. Or I could assume Trossard was being rested so he could demolish West Ham...

Between Salah and Sterling, but most likely Salah. The easier opponent, safer choice. The only worry is the midweek game in Turkey, but other than that he looked good vs. Norwich to me.

Got to go for Aubameyang if you have him. His record against Burnley is good, he's playing as a striker and it's Arsenal at home.DavidLloydIsAHero wrote:Seems a shame given I picked Auba pretty much to captain him here but given how poor Saints looked and Burnley looked decent at both ends my armband is currently on Salah.
Salah is a good option too but Auba(c) gives you the edge.

Bad experience too often to put the armband on Sterling. Therefore I prefer the other options.blahblah wrote: ↑12 Aug 2019, 21:22So Sterling?Lucky wrote: ↑12 Aug 2019, 16:58 Agüero loves to play the major competitors and usually scores big

Re: Gameweek 2 captain
Initially planned to have it on Sterling because he seems to perform against Spurs and I don't like captaining players away from home if I can. However I think Liverpool won't need to get out of 3rd gear against Chelsea this Wednesday and playing that game will actually benefit them for the weekend if anything as a tune up. Soton looked ghastly so it's Salah for me.

Yeah leaning towards Sterling now or maybe a cheeky punt on Siggy vs Watford who haven't kept a clean sheet in 16 league games!

Re: Gameweek 2 captain
The problem i see with Salah is that he'll still have very high overall captaincy, despite mid-week. The fixture is plumb, so he could bag a hattrick in 60 mins then get subbed.
Salah is the clear defensive move.
A one-week switch to Mane plus armband could be very profitable, and i would say he's more likely to start, but no guarantees and a higher risk of falling down the rankings if Salah turns up.
Sterling won't start as CF this week as Aguero will be back, and it won't be a 5-0 drubbing (most likely) against Tottenham. I wouldn't be considering captaining him in this fixture unless i had doubts about Salah. Which i do.
I'll probably just stick with Salah tbh.

Re: Gameweek 2 captain
Really torn now. 120 minutes of football away in Istanbul on a Wednesday before their game on Saturday does really put me off Salah...
