(Already have Wilson so don't want King).

That's a tough one!
Jota and Fraser - no brainer out of those two options imo.
I think King playing no10 behind Wilson will take some of Fraser's points away though :(

That, and I really rate Siggy (and Moise Kean is a favourite player of mine, I see him getting Siggy a lot of assist points)

Wish I could find the 0.5 to upgrade Ings though...
What's the rest of your team? PM me if you wish, I can see if I can shave that .5 off somewhere :)

Wood has been amazing pre-season, I'd go with him as a bit of a differential to start.

Wood, Jota or Deloufeu?

Why so little love for Deloufeu? Will he not be starting?

So... most of these (cheap-ish strikers) here above, ignored individual hype heaped on them and did F-all...

I only watched the Pool game and I feel Pukki could be the one to watch in this bracket.

Barnes had a good game, but I think he'll share points with Wood.

To be honest I don’t think most people on these boards expected a striker in this price range to score 20 goals this season and 180 points, or at least they shouldn’t because those types of players are rare. Last season we had Jiménez, but that’s not the norm. Generally strikers in this price range average between 120 and 140 points like King, Barnes, and Wood did last season. It’s what you get in this price range. End of the day it’s the opening fixture and a number of teams struggled to put the ball in the net. If King or whoever your cheaper strikers is blanks the next couple of games, reassess, but ultimately I’d say most strikers in this range are going to be like this all season because if they net 12-14 goals that’s roughly 1 in 3 games.

Do we think Maupay will be a starter from now on?

Other than Greenwood, what 4.5 forward has the best chance of getting minutes for his team?

Did anyone watch the Southampton game? About the only one I haven't seen in full so far.

I did.

Apart from one early chance the Southampton strikers did nothing. Adams looked out of his depth and Ings didn't get a sniff out of Mee and Tarkowski.

Redmond looked good on Match of the Day. Is that correct?

Was 3-0 a fair result? ie they were toothless and you dominated them .....

Yes, he was their best player by far. I'd stay away from their defenders, they were shocking. Liverpool could have a field day next weekend.

3-0 probably flattered us. The conditions were horrendous and Barnes' first was wind assisted. They collapsed like a house of cards after conceding that first goal though.

Sounds like their run at the end of last season hasn't cleansed their minds of knowing how to lose...... and accepting it.

With the caveat that I was watching highlights only, I like the look of Pukki.

His movement off the ball was very good and the finish for the goal was excellent.

He is going to humiliate weaker defences with that kind of play.

Anyone else tempted to go King to Barnes his stats are similar to Pukki's he only has one less goal and his fixtures are better IMO. I'm yet to see today's games so I might change my mind but I feel like Barnes is getting overlooked for Pukki.

Next two games are

Wolves away
Liverpool home

Why should I consider him now? No need to rush!

There seems a lot to pukki’s game so I’m making the switch from king.

Pukki is the new Michu.
