League Updates.
This hasn't completed for this week yet, about 4 hours since the last final whistle blew. It took an eternity yesterday as well.
Didn't all used update a lot quicker in the past or is my memory playing tricks on me

Not a game have much knowledge of, this is first season have taken it seriously have played before but not taken lot of notice as main game was Telegraph, noticed that in game week 1 am 57,070, but overall am 109,262. Thought game week 1 was the start, did I miss the start somehow. Very strange.

Re: League Updates.
The 57,070 was provisional after yesterdays league update. They have updated your score for today so you have a new position in the league but they haven't updated the league yet so you still have yesterdays position. When it is all updated it should all match up. It's the same with scores in the mini league I'm showing GW 91 TOT 74!mikeg13 wrote: ↑11 Aug 2019, 22:53 Not a game have much knowledge of, this is first season have taken it seriously have played before but not taken lot of notice as main game was Telegraph, noticed that in game week 1 am 57,070, but overall am 109,262. I think it's a wee bloke with an abacus that does it all.

Lol.
I was thinking of the contrast of a Lurch-like character with an abacus too small for his hands, trying to operate it with his hunky fingers...
English abacuses
Latin abaci
Abacii does not exist
Like with bonii, the word does not exist, it's just the product of illiteracy

Re: League Updates.
Abacii does exist, there are at least three instances of it in existence (including this one) and they are all on this thread. There are doubtless many more instances in the wider universe, with each occurrence being almost instantly doubled by pedants like you. You can't deny the existence of something just because it doesn't meet with your standards of correctness.MoSe wrote: ↑11 Aug 2019, 23:38 Lol.

Re: League Updates.
On top of which; please explain how something that doesn't exist can be the product of something that does exist.
Even if something didn't exist before it must exist once it has been produced.
If it doesn't yet exist it hasn't yet been produced so it can't be the product of anything.
The fact that I am debating with myself as to its existence means that it does exist otherwise there would be nothing for me to wonder about the existence of.
So it does exist so therefore it must have been produced, but not necessarily by ignorance. Unless of course, it has always existed in which case there was no need to produce it.

Sokratis and Papastathopoulos both exist in the same molecular space.

Re: League Updates.
hey, I only replied to your solicitation, otherwise I'd have kept it to myself
as for the definition of pedant, your own posts establish the best paradigm for it
I hope you got the amusement fix you were looking for, although it verged between onanism and solipsism
anyway, thank you:
1. abacii, which does not belong the set of correct words, reminded me of haiducii
https://www.google.com/search?q=haiduci ... e&ie=UTF-8
<dance>numa numa iei, numa numa numa iei</dance>
2. you reminded me of my usual mistake: "no good deed will go unpunished"
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/No_good_d ... unpunished
f*ck myself....
you of course know what I meant, and you're right, a mistake does exist, as long a someone diabolically insists to commit it

Re: League Updates.
anyway, for those really interested in the subject introduced by sorbiegunner
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Plural_fo ... ing_in_-us
all worth reading, I merely highlight
bonii would be the plural of the putative :hush: word bonius

abacii would be the plural of the putative :hush: word abaciusThe form vīriī is impossible as a plural of vīrus, since we only find the ending -iī in the plural form of masculine and feminine words ending in -ius.
For instance, radius is pluralized by removing -us, to isolate the stem radi-, and then adding the plural suffix -ī.
Thus the -iī ending of the resulting word radiī is not a suffix: it is simply the consequence of adding the actual suffix ī to a stem that has an i as its last letter.
Vīriī would be the plural form of the putative, nonexistent word vīrius.
bonii would be the plural of the putative :hush: word bonius

Re: League Updates.
Yeah the entire game seems to be painfully slow so far this year. Even when I woke up at 8am this morning the league tables status was still 'updating'.
Pretty sure everything was always completed within 2-3 hours of full-time last season.
