Im currently On Josh King in my team, but im just not feeling him at all at the moment and cant afford Wilson, so im just wondering what people thoughts are on Solanke ?

He is only 5.5 million, been given the number 9 shirt this season and also has had a good pre season so far.

With Brooks out for a few months, does anyone think that he could some how play with King and Wilson also in the line up or is that a none starter ?

Rodriguez with two goals already today for Burnley, playing instead of Barnes, could he force his way into the 1st team?

nice, the 6m striker pool has taken a bit of a boost with the last set of pre season games:

Rodriguez
Gray
Murray
Ings
Adams (played very well today by all accounts)
Wesley
Linton

all putting their case forward, only DCL and Benteke  have flopped.

What about that Dutch lad they signed? I think Jordon eBay won't see the starting XI for dust.

Didnt know they had signed a dutch lad.

I dont know much about Bournemouth other than they have an easy start to the season and there just a very unpredicatble team.

Scored again today against St Etienne. Having Saint-Maximin and Almiron around him, Shelvey/Longstaff behind with the range of passing they have, he could be a steal.

Anyone considering Shane Long for first sub? I can afford him rather than a non-playing 4.5 in my current draft, and he might give some peace of mind for Pep roulette re Zinchenko. Is Long a likely starter?

I always like to take a few punts early doors and have gone for Adams at 6m.

Been really good pre-season. Got both assists for Southampton's goals on Friday against Koln (worth noting Ings took and scored the penalty Adams won, then missed the second Bednarek won).

Yes I’m currently in a 50/50 with Ings and Adams. Will Adams get more assists than goals (assisting Ings, who’s the same price?). If Southampton press on in the way they finished, and Ings stays fit (BIG If, granted), then Ings could eat well being fed by Redmond, Hoj, JWP and Adams.

Tough between him and Ings for me

For 6m (not 6.5, can't afford), Wesley is the top choice for me. Veela profited from many set-pieces last season, a theme I'm sure we'll see play to his strengths. And the fixtures are very pleasant.

Jordan Ayew @ 5m could be a regular starter if Zaha gets away to Everton in the next few days...

There's Benteke, and then the prospect of Tosun going the other way.

I’m really interested in Maupay, he was brilliant in the championship. If he can make the step up at 5.5m or so I think he’s a potential bargain

He isn't likely to come in at 5.5 on the trend of current strikers, 6.0 if they just price match Murray (a bit like when Evans came in for Southamption and they matched Ings) or maybe 6.5 if they think he's clear first choice.

Maupay added at £6.0m

As a Brentford fan, I am tempted! Honestly think he could be this year's Jimenez.
