Lanzini playing well again today, he's scored again too. Fornals with a good display and a goal as well.

Really good player and another in that nice 6.5m price point, and West Ham have some great fixtures once GW1 is out of the way.

Pereyra anyone? I remember him starting well last season and Watford have a decent run of fixtures early on.

I really want Barkley. He's in my team at the moment but I've a feeling I might bottle it come Friday night. Just feel like Lampard will give Mount chance after chance and could end up with a fair few 65/25 splits.

Is Barkley really on pens? Not aware of him being a regular penalty taker in the past, but perhaps always overshadowed by others.

No salah or Sterling ?

I feel you have to have 3 liverpool and 3 man city this season and just buid rest of swuad behind that.

I also brought Barkley in last night in place of Brooks

I see three Man City players there. I'm not going for three of those to begin with, max 2 for both.

I would think so. Jorginho was on the pitch who took them in Hazards absence last season. Only other player in the mix based on previous matches would be Willian who wasn’t playing.

If Sane goes to Bayern, I think I’ll revert to my original plan and go with Bernardo Silva.

I’ve got De Bruyne at the moment, but the extra 1.5 would come in handy.

Must admit that his numbers are very enticing (matching up with Son pretty much in the key areas), it's minutes that are his issue as even under Solksjaer he was a bit in and out of the team. If he'd played another 1,000 minutes he'd have had a big score and a price tag to match. I wonder if the new season is a good change in circumstance for Martial to kick on.

If he starts their last friendly I may take the punt, although having said that, maybe Moura is a safer bet for a couple of games to see the lie of the land.

Yes, Martial is one of the more intriguing options, when he plays he scores points, 120+ in the last two season with only 1500-1600 is crazy, if he could push 2500-2800 minutes he'd be going towards (or past) 200.

Will be watching the last pre season game closely. Not that it counts for anything but all the predicted GW1 line ups have him in the team and some have him up front with Rashford (which has happened in pre season). Martial playing most weeks, up front as part of a three or a two with Rashford, listed as a midfielder for 7.5 would be very hard to ignore.

I've got a couple of ways to get him in my team and if he shines in the last game I may go for it.

Lanzini scores for the third pre season game in a row, West Ham are awful at the back but good going forward and after GW1 they have great fixtures, Lanzini looking one of the better 6.5 picks

Anyway, has anybody got any thoughts on the 5.5m midfielder group?

Three have caught my eye:

McGinn (Villa) - Really nice fixtures once past GW1 and having a great pre season

Robinson (Shef Utd) - 4 of the first 5 games are pretty good, another who has excelled so far in pre season and has been playing as a striker scoring three goals

Ceballos (Arsenal) - not played much as only just signed, Arsenal fans raving about him though, apparently can play as an 8 or a 10, but from what I can tell it's not clear yet where he will play and looks to be a bit of competition in that Arsenal midfield.

All three to me look to have potential, especially for such a budget price, usually players in this bracket are quite defensive but the three above are all very attacking and potentially key men in their teams.
Mcginn and Robinson both scoring again today.

With Barkley left out and perhaps not nailed I'm going to go with one of these two for 5.5 I think

I just monitored some Chelsea forums and they are convinced he is nailed to start the season. They think he is benched probably just because Lampard has seen enough from him and wants to give some gametime for Mount. Also Chelsea haven't played well today. I think Barkley is pretty much nailed to start the season.

hmmm, maybe, the forum I checked and lots don't think he will start GW1, only FL knows I suppose.

Really happy with the rest of my midfield, just the final spot. Barkley is a proven player and Chelsea a strong team so would prefer Barkley, will see what the final pressers throw up.

It feels a good option to just start with Perez and then take a view on a Chelsea player once their lineup becomes clear. I'd have no real issue with people gambling on Barkley, I mean at worst he's 50/50 for that role.

The argument about the last pre-season lineup really is that FL knows everything he needs to know about Mount already. Barkley was the one auditioning really and I'd have been more confident had he started the last friendly. It doesn't mean I wouldn't pick him though I think I'd prefer to gamble in other areas of the team where there are less clear options that the likes of Perez.

Mav - how do you rate those below the 6.5m price point?

I'm likely going 5 in midfield so Perez would be 4th mid and then somebody like Barkley/Mcginn/Robinson/Ceballos etc as the 5th, do you think there is a standout candidate in this slot?
