Not running - Ten Team Centurion League
As stated in title, this comp is no longer running and has been replaced with the £50 Ten team league.
As discussed on the main forum, this is a £100 league where you enter all 10 of your teams, split across two different mini leagues (entering 5 teams into each). This eliminates the luck factor of whether you enter your best team or not, and will therefore hopefully be a competition that better reflects the skill of the manager.
There will be a small prize to the winner of the two individual leagues and the rest of the money goes to the overall winners, split as:
League 1 winner: 10%
League 2 winner 10%
Overall winner: 50%
Overall 2nd place: 20%
Overall 3rd place: 10%
The overall placement prizes would be capped at one per person, with the prize moving to the next placed player if someone did have more than 1 team in the top 3.
So the most anyone person could win would be capped at 70% (the overall prize and the two league winner prizes), with the overall winner guaranteed atleast 60% (to be the overall winner they'll have won atleast one of the leagues).
I'm away from the 16th until the 24th July, so won't be taking any payments until I'm back, but will send payment details to everyone that's expressed interest on my return, assuming we have enough players for this to go ahead.
Please be aware of the FISO minileague disclaimer before signing up.
Only FISOers registered before today (so from 12th July 2019 or earlier) will be eligible to enter.

Re: Ten Team Centurion League
Maybe combine this with the BML as a 10 team format?
Happy to go £10 per team or keep the £5 per entry format too for those who don’t want to chuck £100 at a league.

Re: Ten Team Centurion League
I'd be in for 50, with my mini league commitments going to be around the 400 mark it makes it easier for me to say yes,
It may well work out we get a bigger pot also!

Re: Ten Team Centurion League
I was trying to avoid making another leagu similar to the BML, as I thought that was running again this year.
I’m on holiday until Wednesday, so I’ll wait til im back to see if BML is running. If it is and there’s not more interest in this league, then I’ll scrap this one. If BML isn’t running, then I’ll run it or this one as 1-10 team league

I’d do this for £50. Whatever works out best for you to organise.

As mad dog says I would also be interested in 10 teams for £50.
I think it's best that everyone has 10 teams though.

Re: Ten Team Centurion League
Good with me. Send me £50 back Will. Sounds like this format will drive the demand up.

Re: Ten Team Centurion League
Forgot to mention earlier you would have to allow for managers to enter all of their teams before the final prem game kicks off on the Sunday.
I'm sure most will enter teams when Man City KO on Saturday 12.30.

Re: Ten Team Centurion League
That doesn’t sound a problem given there is no element of ‘choosing your best’.
But why anyone would be entering a team without Salah is somewhat beyond me.

I normally hold back a few, but every team this season will have a Liverpool player in so I’m relaxed.

Re: Ten Team Centurion League
Alright, looks like the £5 per team up to 10 teams is a popular choice. I’ll get an official thread set up for it tomorrow. The one caveat I will add is that people will have to enter and even number of teams (either 2, 4, 6, 8 or 10) so that we have even teams in each league.
Has anyone tested yet whether you can have more than 5 teams in one league (the two league format might not be necessary if the sun have changed that rule)?

Re: Ten Team Centurion League
I think everyone should have to enter the total 10 teams. I know it will probably mean some will drop out but would be a good league set up. I’m happy to go with what you decide though just giving my opinion.
Entering less than 10 means that all managers will have to enter Friday evening, when some might want to wait for the 12.30 ko, or 3pms..

Re: Ten Team Centurion League
Fair point, and everyone posted in this thread seems to be in for the 10 teams anyway. So 10 teams it is. Off on a 14km mountain hike in the rain soon, but will set up the thread when/if I make it back alive.woody123 wrote: ↑18 Jul 2019, 22:44 I think everyone should have to enter the total 10 teams. Sounds good! The mini league, not the hike.

Top post needs editing and possibly the title, both could put potential entrants off
