Re: Telegraph Fantasy World Cup Game!
McNamara here, I am a fellow fiso man, not posted for a while. I will post my team on here after the first ball or ASAP.
Henry & Boult against our top four will be key! Buttler to be motm with a Ton! Lanky Lad!
Henry or Boult with a Michelle, but in a losing cause and not get motm.
Good luck

Re: Telegraph Fantasy World Cup Game!
Nice one gents, hopefully we’ll be seeing 4 different captain picks
Should be a cracking day, will be gutted if England don’t turn NZ over.
As for the fantasy cricket, it’s now down to a bit of Lady Luck, after a gruelling 6 weeks of transfers, some massive highs and terrible lows, around 11,000 points and now just down to a few final blows on the final game.
Best of luck all

NZ wins the toss and bats - both teams unchanged.
Start delayed 15mins but transfers need to be done before original start time I assume...?!

Telegraph Fantasy World Cup Game!
NZ winning the toss evens up this contest considerably.
Just moved my captain to Williamson.
Good luck to the guys up there with a shot at winning.

Re: Telegraph Fantasy World Cup Game!
Over two thirds of games been won by teams batting first in this World Cup and Lords is generally a good strip to get first use of.
We need early wickets or we’ll be chasing a decent score. Kiwis are a good team on their day.

Re: Telegraph Fantasy World Cup Game!
just the way fantasy games are richard,
you would have been favourite if the aussies turned us over in the semis.
i suspect we could all have found a couple of hundred on close calls
enjoyable comp.
well done to the telegraph for staging it.

Correct pal, I took the gamble hoping you lads would go all England, it worked. A very enjoyable seven weeks, love fantasy sports and long May the telegraph continue running them! Congrats on your prize and the other lads too.

Re: Telegraph Fantasy World Cup Game!
Wow. What a game.
After close to 12,000pts scored it came down to a gap of 13. Well played Andy, I chipped away at that deficit for the last few hours but didn't think I'd catch you. Great effort from David and Richard, we all led the comp at some stage.

Re: Telegraph Fantasy World Cup Game!
i felt i played a decent game, in a game that suits my style of play.
i didn't really feel i had a lot of good luck nor bad.
i felt you were close to odds on after morgan flopped steve and i was always struggling to hold on after that.
the one thing i would say is that if i played reasonably in a comp that suits my style of play that the other three close up ALL played extremely well.
i might have played the domestic t20 but will be away too much to consider it really.
enjoy your winnings steve!
all the best,
andy

Well played Steve, Andy and David, quite an effort over the long tournament, and such an amazing match to watch and a close fantasy finish.
I couldn't keep up with it all, but sneaked a £10 tournament win.

Re: Telegraph Fantasy World Cup Game!
Certainly a fantasy game to remember. What a day yesterday. Can't quite believe that finish. Surely Shakib al Hasan for player of the tournament though- what a performer.
Congrats to all prize winners. I managed to scrape a £10 league win which I assumed i'd lose having rolled the dice on Australia heavy.
