Gameweek 36 Captain Poll
Big gameweek this, as we will likely see a lot of triple captaincies. Liverpool home to Huddersfield the standout fixture by an absolute mile.

Re: Gameweek 36 Captain Poll
Mane (TC)
Did consider getting Salah in for a hit, but I feel Mane is the 'striker' of Liverpool this season, Salah the talisman and chief creator while Firmino is the tireless worker (perhaps the most difficult role but least fruitful FPL-wise).
So for me, Mane is as good as Salah and I don't think there'll be a better time to TC.

Currently on Son but may well bring in Firmino for Auba (if no major injuries occur the rest of this GW) and will likely change it to him.

Re: Gameweek 36 Captain Poll
Whoever of Mane or Salah I bring in as triple captain.
At the moment I’m leaning towards Mane, as I can get him without a hit whereas Salah would cost a -4.

Re: Gameweek 36 Captain Poll
Just sharing some Salah v Mane stats I've just looked at (all info from the members area of FFS).
In the last ten gameweeks Salah has had 21 shots on target to Mane's 11 and 106 penalty area touches to Mane's 62. So he has been more involved than Mane.
However in the same time period Mane has had 10 big chances to Salah's 4 and has created 3 big chances to Salah's 1. So Mane is getting in better areas to score, the FFS heat maps show most of his shots are from inside the area.
So from this data Salah is more involved and likely to have more shots but Mane's chances are likely to be of better quality. Inconclusive then but I'm now leaning towards banding Mane over Salah.

Looking like Mané for me. Likely I’ll be Salahless and run with Mané, Firmino, Robertson.

Re: Gameweek 36 Captain Poll
Who is likely to play for Pool in all reality? surely they can rest a defender for Gomez or even Moreno based on fitness levels v Hud. They surely should be able to start Shaqiri, Sturridge, and Origi as well right?

Re: Gameweek 36 Captain Poll
It's all just guesswork isn't it? Reminds me of a GW where Man U had a CL game and all the talk was around whether RVP and Rooney would be rested. Both started, if I recall correctly.
I guess it's a line between limiting risk for Pool but also keeping the team scoring and flowing right, and there is a biggish gap between the games. Anyone else have any thoughts?
I'm leaning towards bringing Mane in and TC'ing him. A risk yes, but almost everyone is at risk at this stage of the season. And the reward of Mane v Hud at home, even for only 65 minutes, is worth it in my opinion.

Re: Gameweek 36 Captain Poll
Not a clue, but bringing in Gomez is still Plan A. Then it is Eden vs Kun as Capt - with Sterling as an outside choice along with Vardy and maybe VvD.

Re: Gameweek 36 Captain Poll
Genuinely torn between Mane, Salah, Aguero and Sterling.
I know Liverpool look the obvious choice, but City will feel like the title is in their hands now and have the freedom to focus solely on the league, whereas Liverpool don't have that luxury.

Yeah, but do you know what luxury City don't have? The luxury of playing Huddersfield.
Mané (C) for me.

Re: Gameweek 36 Captain Poll
Why is the poll so overwhelmingly in favour of Mane? Is it because people don't have Salah? I can see why people are picking Mane, just that massive gap between him and Salah...
I don't have Salah, am contemplating taking a hit to get him. I think my vote would go to him.

Re: Gameweek 36 Captain Poll
I'd probably go Salah if I had him, but I've made my bed with my three Pool players for the final three gameweeks: Robertson, TAA & (M)ane. Ultimately figured that picking a defender as the third Pool player was the way to go - TAA crazily good value in a position without much other standout options, whereas Salah is mad expensive and there are other good midfield choices.
Will TC Mane most likely, dont really see a better option before end of season.

Only have Robertson at moment.
Going to bring in Firmino and Salah - likely TC Salah; feel it's time he gets his brace.
