Good luck everyone!
That was indeed an interesting one, lots of close calls.

Re: WC34 BB35 Strategy (Deadline FRI 7pm BST)
Looks like I'm the only one who went without Sterling and Agüero.
Ryan, Foster
Laporte, Van Dijk, Vertonghen, Duffy, Boly
Mané, De Bruyne, Eriksen, Son, Jota
Vardy, Jiménez, Deeney
Kept a few quid in the bank for a possible Vardy Lacazette next GW.

Final team
Lloris Foster
Virgil Doherty Duffy Dunk Valery
Mane KdB Eriksen Son Jota
Aubameyang Deeney Jimenez
Switched Ryan + Vertonghan Lloris + Dunk just because it saves a little cash, allows me to play Lloris in goal every week and also is a little more nailed.
Nope, me too. Would've avoided City completely had Kane been fit

Re: WC34 BB35 Strategy (Deadline FRI 7pm BST)
It does feel very wrong to have three Brighton assets at the back, but it's the only place to have the full quota without causing extraction issues post-DGWs.
Hojbjerg seems like a bit of hidden gem to me, and I was very pleased to be able to crowbar Rashford in, would have liked Lukaku but fund won't stretch, no Salah definitely burns and I can see myself forcing him back in somehow in a few weeks

Ended up with:
Lloris (Foster)
TAA, Laporte, Dunk, Duffy (C) (Valery)
Son, Eriksen, Sterling, Mane (JWP)
Aguero, Jimenez (Deeney)
0.7 itb likely Dunk to Kolasniac for GW35.
I can’t believe I have captained Shane Duffy.

Stupid Friday games. Monumental fail, the plan was the put Murray in but leave enough money for auba next week. Instead I left Auba in with the captains armband on. Second week in a row I’ve eff up the captain

Thanks to all who posted here, I had a quiet few days at work and this kept me occupied. Have to say this is why I love FF.. figuring out the optimal team for this week was great! Kane getting injured made it a lot more enjoyable oddly..
Fingers crossed...

Vardy blank a gift for wildcarders. Was pretty sure I'd get burned in the first game moving him out, but got away with it.

Indeed, seeing Leicester attackers blank and have their CS busted was a nice start for wildcarders

Re: WC34 BB35 Strategy (Deadline FRI 7pm BST)
Ditto (apart from the quiet at work bit). I ended up with (0.3 ITB):
Ryan (Leno)
Robertson Laporte Vertonghen Duffy(c) [3 - Valery]
Mane KdB Son(vc) [1 - Jota; 2 - Hughes]
Aguero Lacazette Jiminez
Gives me 13 doublers for next week plus 2 Liverpool players, who will likely score well anyway. Duffy likely to get the hook next week for a Watford or Wolves defender but I'm not locked into that.
Once Kane was injured and replaced with Aguero, and I decided Sterling was eating up too much money, my major decision was whether to stick with Robertson and have a cheap MF or downgrade to TAA and have a better MF. So I ended up with Hughes, who is a slight worry for game time, especially with Deuloufou fit now (and dropped in price last night incidentally) but I have a contingency (-4) plan for next week should I want it.
A bit back heavy maybe with 3 premium defenders and no United coverage. GW38 keeper a possible issue but Arsenal are away at Burnley. And which of my forwards do I captain next week? Plenty of time left to fret about that.

If I see Son's name in the starting lineup I'll be hiding behind the sofa with Duffy (c)

Re: WC34 BB35 Strategy
fuming with myself I knew Son wouldn't play and that Moura could score big, needless to say I bottled it and took Moura out yesterday for Son. I hate it when you don't go with your gut and get kicked in the b0llocks!Gambit wrote: ↑10 Apr 2019, 19:22 Not that it counts for much and the press conferences might hopefully give more info, but most of the fans on the Spurs main forums don't think Son starts v Huddersfield.
I'm inclined to agree, the injury to Kane magnifies the importance of Son and with Huddersfield being so abject I can't see why they would risk him.
Think I'm going to go without Son for GW34 and then make the decision on him next week before DGW35, I'm considering Moura + money in the bank to make the Son transfer if needed next week, Martial could be another place holder, left out tonight so looks good to start v West Ham on Saturday and he could even stay in my team for the DGW.
