Went with Son captain as a 6.59pm decision.
Hope he plays, as I’m fairly sure I accidentally viced Dunk instead of Duffy.

Re: GW34 Captain Poll
Bookies odds for a Brighton clean sheet in one of the games ~1.57 (4/7) justifying such leftfield choice. Couldn't bring myself to even consider captaining a Brighton defender though.
I wouldn't read too much into odds for Duffy (or anyone else for that matter) to score. I think odds are much shorter than they should be but they simply don't give a sh*t since they don't give you the other option. I reckon we would all be millionaires if they did.

I'm tickled by the notion that Shane Duffy is a psychopath, led to a career in top-level football by his psychopathy.
Anyway, Duffy hat-trick ftw!

Re: GW34 Captain Poll
I've never quite understood EO - is it that if all of the top 10k own aguero and captain him, his EO is 200%?
Also, is there a way to interpret that figure that helps in knowing if a player returning is good for you rank wise? For example, I have Duffy but haven't captained him (godspeed all ye who did!). Should I be cheering a goal from him or not?!(legendary comedy value aside)

Correct regarding Aguero. Essentially if you own a player and don't captain, and their EO is less than 100% you will make gains OVERALL, but not necessarily locally (people around you may also own and some captain).Nailer6245 wrote:I've never quite understood EO - is it that if all of the top 10k own aguero and captain him, his EO is 200%?

Re: GW34 Captain Poll
Yep. So, Duffy points are good for everyone that owns him, captained or not (generally speaking). A single Duffy owner effectively gains 0.06 points on the field (top 10k) for every point he scores.
On the other hand, Son points are bad for everyone that didn't captain him - they lose 0.23 points on the field for every point he scores today.
The caveat is it heavily depends on where you are overall. If you're top 1k, Duffy EO is probably over 100%, and if you're 100k Son EO is probably less than 100%. So it depends on what you class as 'the field' around you in the rankings.

Re: GW34 Captain Poll
ML rival has captained Son, I’m on Duffy so hoping for a low score from Son for both ML prospects and overall position. It’s always a bit of a weird feeling when you own a player yet want them to perform poorly!
I’m surprised Son is so far ahead of Eriksen btw, I favour the Dane to top score for Spurs over the next 2 weeks.
Who will be first in line for Spurs penalties with Kane and Alli out, I wonder?

Ah I see Son is benched, his greater rotation risk was one of the reasons for favouring Eriksen. Hope he comes on for the 1 pointer

I had a feeling Duffy captaincy could backfire but was worried about a red card or own goal. Never even considered s scoreline like today's!

Hoping for something tectonic from my teutonic captain today - bad bad Leroy Sane - hoping he's meaner than a junkyard dog.

Re: GW34 Captain Poll
Wow,so 45 capped Duffy including me - surely the worst double captain choice of all time. AND i chose Westwood ahead of 16 pt. Fraser..
