i'm actually after the leaderboard previous to those two, the one before the arsenal - newcastle game. any chance you could put that one up if you have it?

will dig out the two you're after. think i only saved the top 40 though

Re: leaderboard

Post by old »

that april 2nd leaderboard was from before they gave jimenez the second assist from the united game. so if you're trying to work out what players people have jimenez only had 5 points rather than 8 when i saved that leaderboard.

Re: leaderboard

Post by old »

don't want to say who i am but maybe have a chance in a couple money leagues depending on how many transfers teams at the top have left and how well i use mine.

thanks for posting that table. only started saving them after the arsenal - newcastle game. everton - arsenal wasn't much use as too many players got 2 pts..

not sure how you inferred from what i wrote that i believed that saying who i was could possibly affect my chances in any way. it was but not because..

yes. unlikely but not impossible.

Sky is currently inaccessible due to them "experiencing technical difficulties". So those who were planning to make a transfer or change their captaincy should be alert AND cross their fingers that it's sorted by 12.30 pm.

well done Andy on 2nd. i guess it’s natural to be thinking what if given how close it was in the end but you seem level headed so if if you are currently feeling gutted i hope eventually you’ll be pleased with your £20k+. it’s a good game to come 2nd in because of those cash leagues.

other reason i’m posting is i’m hoping someone who’s on twitter could help me?

i’m not on any social media myself but i have been looking at twitter since i discovered that Dan was posting those transfer stats there.

anyway one of the former leaders has gone a bit conspiratorial. suggesting that the winner only won because of the Kepa man of the match the other week.

this isn’t the case at all. the winner had Hazard captain just like i think everyone else in the top 9 at the time did.

the winner scored 22 points that day. Hazard 8x2 Pogba 2 Rashford 4. looks like he then swapped out Hazard for Sterling before the City - Leicester game.

the Richarlison man of the match in the Burnley game also made no difference as nobody near the top had any Everton players.

i have a great deal of sympathy for this conspiracy theory guy. he probably thought he had a better chance of winning that he really did and it’s natural to go looking for reasons why he fell away. but the reason isn’t dodgy man of the match awards. football is just very very random and difficult to predict.

i think a few of you will know who i’m talking about as you’re twitter friends with him. if one of you reads this i’d really appreciate you setting him straight for his own sake. it’s no good to be working himself up needlessly over something which has zero basis in fact.

congratulations again Andy. if you still have anything on the go in the sun or telegraph then good luck. if you don’t then i hope you can enjoy all the cup finals stress free.

Thanks
Can't grumble at 23k but it feels like 60 odd missed. I had leaders team pretty wrong although he obviously had transfers at end...successive laporte Capts really saved him. I played pretty well but made a couple of errors which meant didn't have transfer I needed at the end. Pietro crying foul I think is a function of frustration with him cocking up a winning position..... Don't know him..... But was relying on pressure getting to those who led and hadn't been in that situation before.
I got a few quid riding on a cash league on here in sun game but my tff performance this year pretty woeful...

I guess that it's a mix of congratulations and bad luck yorkie.

Missing out by six points or whatever is tough when you know that just one different move woukd have landed the £80,000 plus. On the other hand take away just one of your better moves and it could have been zilch. So I guess that congratulations just shade bad luck.

So well done!!!

As far as that Pietro guy is concerned I certainly don't share Old's sympathy for him. He just seems to be a deluded dickhead who shouldn't be playing fantasy if he can't be a good loser.

Next season i'll back up the leaderboards daily on my site so anyone can see what the daily and weekly points are for people on the leaderboard. Obviously for any appearing that were not on it before they will be shown as >30 if for example they would of had to of scored at least 30pts to make it onto the leaderboard from the day/week (depending on what comparison is being done) before.

For posterity i've added the current final leaderboard of this season along with the archived stats, both by "stats" i.e. number of goals, number of succesfull passes and by pts (i.e. the total pts shown split across the various categories for example Laporte had the most successful pass points at 81 (30% of his total points))

Very well played Yorkie👏😎. I didn’t realise Sky had cash mini leagues.

Well done to the other fisoers I spotted that finished in the top 100. No mean feat considering how many hundreds of thousands play it💪
