WC34 BB35 Strategy (Deadline FRI 7pm BST)
I thought I’d get this underway so we have a couple of weeks to discuss.
A few ifs and buts in the team below but this is what I’ve came up with initially with their 34 and 35 fixtures alongside:
Ryan (Bournemouth, Cardiff, Wolves, Spurs)
Etheridge (Burnley, Brighton, Liverpool)
Doherty (Southampton, Brighton, Arsenal)
Trippier (Huddersfield, City, Brighton)
Kolasinac (Watford, Palace, Wolves)
Duffy (Bournemouth, Cardiff, Wolves, Spurs)
Kiko (Arsenal, Brighton, Southampton)
Sterling (Palace, Spurs, United)
Mané (Chelsea, Cardiff)
Camarasa (Burnley, Brighton, Liverpool)
Jota (Southampton, Brighton, Arsenal)
Ozil (Watford, Palace, Wolves)
Kane (Huddersfield, City, Brighton)
Deeney (Arsenal, Brighton, Southampton)
Aubameyang (Watford, Palace, Wolves)
Question marks over Ozil especially but will keep an eye on it all between now and then.

Re: WC34 BB35 Strategy
That's a good thread for sure, because I think this is a strategy for many. Only one Spurs attacker, swadd1er? You really fancy for example Mane (CHE, car) more than Son (HUD, mci, BHA)?

Can't wait to get trigger happy come Friday evening!
My plan:
Ryan Gunn
TAA Duffy Trippier Valery Kolasinac
JWP Mané Deulofeu Son Babel
Lacazette Aguero Kane
(while having the FH left for 36).

Very helpful Stem, cheers.
Finisher, I would like a second Spurs attacker but I’m not sure who. That team will change slightly for sure.
Laca for Auba, Deeney for Aguero, Ozil for Son perhaps. Monitoring the pressers and results between now and then.

Re: WC34 BB35 Strategy
I am thinking which assets to ditch for GW33 before WC34.
Is no one thinking about: Jiminez, Doherty, Rashford, Pogba?
I don’t want to ditch before tomorrow’s BGW deadline, only to discover I want to get them in my WC34 team but can’t afford them (as I have so much value tied up in them).
Do people think any of those 4 are good picks for WC34 or no? I’ll ditch now and take a hit on them for good 33 players if not!

Re: WC34 BB35 Strategy
Thanks for starting things off. I'm on the same strategy (and hoping the 10 players plus 1 transfer I have for GW33 are all fit). Looks like it's going to be a mixture of Arsenal, Spurs, MC, Watford, Wolves & Brighton players for the wildcard but not sure who yet.

Re: WC34 BB35 Strategy
I did a quick draft a couple of days ago but didn't put much time into it so far -
Foster Ryan
Doherty Duffy Kolasinac Trippier Valery
Son Deulofeu Jota *Premium* JWP
Aubameyang Kane Jiminez
Aubameyang could easily become the cheaper Laca

Depending on Aguero's fitness I'm planning something like this:
Ryan, Gunn
TAA, Jonny, Bednarek, Dunk, Trippier
Sterling, Mane, Son, JWP, Dendoncker
Aguero, Kane, Jimenez

Re: WC34 BB35 Strategy
My personal opinion based on fixtures, DGW34/35 and form:
Arsenal: 2-3. Aubameyang, Kolasinac and a midfielder should one start to look like a viable option.
Bournemouth: 0-1. Will soon have nothing to play for after they (probably) beat Burnley so I want to avoid getting in too many and being stuck with them. Brooks and Fraser appeal the most due to the lack of options in midfield.
Liverpool: 2. It's difficult to justify 2 defenders with the wealth of options in this position for the coming weeks. The midfield options are lacking quality options so 1 midfielder and 1 defender seems ideal. Mane and one of TAA, Robertson or Virgil for me.
Southampton: 1-2. Great fixtures (long-term) but mediocre DGW35 fixtures. Got something to play for which is always good, but I'm struggling to see how they will keep a CS in both games away to Newcastle and Watford. Valery's goal threat is appealing and his price is ideal for BBing, similar story with Bednerek. JWP and Hojberg are great enablers in the midfield position.
Tottenham: 3. Pretty good fixtures barring the away trip to City. They play mostly at home due to the stadium delays from earlier in the season. Two of Kane, Eriksen, Alli and Son for me. The last slot is between Trippier, who looks a great option with Aurier out, and one of the attackers mentioned before. Vertonghan is also an option.
Watford: 1-2. Great form both in the league and the FA cup. Looking mostly at the defenders as I can see a CS away to Huddersfield and possibly one against Southampton as well. Foster and Holebas are the most appealing and least prone to rotation. Deulofeu, Pererya, Doucoure, Hughes and Deeney are all attacking options but trying to pick the right one might turn into a lottery.
---
Brighton: 2. For me, 3 is too many considering their DGW35 fixtures are wol & tot...far from ideal. Ryan, Duffy, Dunk & Murray are options to me.
Wolves: 2. Jimenez can't stop getting fpl points when he plays so he's a must for me. The last spot is between Jota and Doherty for me. I'm leaning more toward Jota based on the lack of options in midfield.
---
Cardiff: 0. Mostly away games coupled with the GW35 fixture against Liverpool makes them very unappealing.
Man City: 0, which creates the midfield dilemma. I'm positive 1 of the midfielders will get a haul but it's a roulette at this point. If D.Silva could get benched for Cardiff despite having a 2 week break then Pep roulette is fully back in business. Picking the wrong Man City mid seems a sure way to destroy the WC and with those fixtures I don't think the risk favors many of them to produce a reward. Aguero + 2 Spurs' mid combinations are what I had planned but aren't viable anymore (for now).
Man Utd: 0. Poor form, poor DGW fixtures and the only option (Rashford) is hindered by Lukaku's return. Lukaku himself could be an option though.
Draft team #1
Foster Ryan
Virgil Kolasinac Holebas Duffy Valery
Mane Eriksen Son Jota JWP
Kane Aubameyang Jimenez
That's where I'm at, just my 2 cents. I'll probably try to do some player(s) vs player(s) match-ups to get a better team.

Just realised I forgot to include Newcastle in my post. I think their fixtures and home form are probably worth a mention.

I'm was planning WC34/TC35, quick question i still have BB as well so what would you do if you have these 3 chips left, now thinking BB 35 may be profitable but stuck when then to use TC?

Dumping Rashford here. Injury doubt, mins in middle hindered by Lukaku and nowhere near as effective when pushed wide where he’ll share mins with Martial etc. Don’t think I’ll use Pogba either, the petulance seems to have returned.

All very interesting.
I may only keep Jiminez and Doherty then, and ditch Rash and Pog (as well as Shaw, Sane and Aguero) this week for a minus 12...rather than the minus 4 I was planning, just to retain value of Pog and Rash

Unless you need the exact cash Vsz, is £0.1m worth a hit? Or three hits for £0.3m?
I am not sure that it is for those reasons.
Because the players you bring in have a brilliant fixture and will score well...well that might be a different decision

I was going to keep United assets as I have value tied up (which would mean fielding approx 9 this gw) but I think I will now remove rash and pog (for hits) as don’t think I’ll get them back in.

Re: WC34 BB35 Strategy
Pretty much just playing fill the blank...
Forward 1 - Either Aguero or Kane.
Midfielder 5 - Fraser, Pererya, Doucoure, Deulofeu, Redmond, JWP, Brooks, Hughes, Hojberg and Romeu.
Defender 4/5 - Trippier, Vertonghan, Holebas, Valery, Bednerek.
Draft #2
Foster Ryan
Robertson Kolasinac Duffy Trippier Holebas
Mane Eriksen Son Jota Romeu
Aguero Aubameyang Jimenez
I'm priced out and would have to downgrade Robertson to TAA or Robertson to Virgil and Duffy to Dunk.

Should I get trigger happy immediately tonight (in readiness for GW34)?
Is there reason for me to hold off (I’m sure I want to play it)? Presumably price rises could be a factor over the course of the week.
