I wish Sterling hadn't scored 3 for England. Will be less of a differential now. :(

PS. Is it really necessary to have so many options on these threads? There are maybe 6 realistic candidates this week. 6 choices and 'other' would be fine.

Is it really necessary to complain about how other people format their polls?

You want them to be user-friendly, no?

Aguero or Sterling, probably tripling. It's on Aguero at the moment, but I'll no doubt switch it over a few times.

Also think it’s a shame about the hat-trick....it’s Sod’s law that Sterling will do eff all in the PL after doing well for England.

It's easy to argue it either way. My problem is, I tend to believe the last one I read

I like the amount of options for selection, keep doing what your doing beardyman. TC on either Sterling or Hazard haven't decided yet.

Who do you think is more likely to start both games? Sterling or Aguero? Now with Jesus being fit and Sterling returning from international duty I can see any of them being rotated...

I think Aguero is pretty certain to start both, he has not been away in the international break, where the likes of Sane and Sterling and Jesus etc have.

Also i fell into the Sterling TC trap the last double gameweek and Aguero blew me away, he could have had 2 hat tricks that week.

Ive gambled to many times this season, but i think Aguero is the man to 100% be on this gamweek and would love to have my TC on him if atill had it, against 2 teams that could easily be ran riot over

Honestly I think its a coin toss. I think the most crucial player to our team is Sterling as he is so effective but that could be an argument that he has to start every game or that he needs to be rested with the upcoming CL/Cup semi & hasn't been rested. I still think Sterling, plain and simply he's fit enough. He's rarely been rested and hes about to have Tuesday - Saturday rest. I imagine he will feel sound by Saturday.

I agree he's been rested so in theory should start both but looking at the bigger picture the next 4 games are Fulham (A) Cardiff (H) Brighton (Wembley) Spurs CL (A). He will start at Spurs and Fulham IMO. He's 32 (I think) so I doubt he's starting 4 games in 2 weeks, so then its when does he get a rest? In an important Cup semi or at home to a relegation team where he could be brought on in a hairy situation. That being said the same argument is made for Sterling bit as I said IMO he's fitter and will start regardless.

Those 2 teams can be run riot over but they are also opportunity to rest key players for a club in all 4 comps, its tough to figure out what will happen tbh.

Does Jesus not get the nod for the FA Cup? I think Pep trusts him(at least for 60 mins) and keep Aguero in reserve until (if) he is needed.

I also think that's a possibility, that way Aguero would have a full weeks rest before the game. I think Fulham away is a definite start for both Sterling and Aguero. Cardiff H is the coin flip and potentially TC making decision.

In all fairness after examining the fixtures I cant see an opportunity to rest either player in any game other than Brighton or Cardiff up until 28th April.

Fulham (A)
Cardiff (H)
Brighton (W)
Spurs CL (A)
Palace (A)
Spurs CL (H)
Spurs (H)
Utd (A)

Burnley (A) 28th April

To be honest I don't think that's a priority order in Pep's book. He wants to win a quadruple for sure, but I think he would much rather lose Cup semi than drop two points in PL. Those two points may well cost them the PL title which is still a way ahead of Cup in their priorities.

Aguero is only 30. :P

I'm another who think he starts the league games and the CL, and is rested for the Cup SF.

It is a good point but I think it depends how you're looking at it. If he dropped those points its still possible for Liverpool to drop points and City still win the league, if he loses the cup game that trophy is no longer a possibility.

That being said I think what you said is more logical as it is Brighton, if it was stronger side I would say he would prioritise that game over Cardiff at home.

I guess the only thing that matters is how Peps looking at it.

They're all (prior to C.League) comparatively weak teams that City should march over and Aguero/Sterling could be taken off early. So that could be the rest - and possibility of 80- 90 in Fulham game, 60-70 in Cardiff game (at home so prob be 3 goals up on the hour) then whatever is required to beat Brighton in cup.

I'm still captaining Aguero. If I thought Sterling would play more minutes, I'd definitely go for him.
