GW29 Captain
Quick turnaround for the next GW, and deliciously there's no clear cut captain choice.
A merseyside derby could be high scoring, and Liverpool are in great form, but not sure Salah automatically takes the armband.
Sterling seems the standout to me, with a rest tonight and two poor performances from Mahrez/Sane.

Mane has to be up there.
I think I'm going Pogba (C) and Mane (VC). That's with owning Aguero too.

Re: GW29 Captain
A very interesting week for captaincy with no clear front-runner at first glance. Potential big swings ahoy!
Leaders Liverpool will take confidence from thrashing Watford but Everton will have taken confidence from their own big midweek win, and they often raise their game for the derby. City are away at leaky Bournemouth but rotation looms large over their attackers with fixtures becoming congested. A punt on Agüero or Sterling could reap dividends though. Man Utd have arguably the best fixture but their attacking options are stretched a bit thin because of injury and they travel to Paris four days after the Southampton game.
Chelsea are away at spineless Fulham having seemingly rediscovered a spine of their own. Hazard and/or Higuaín could score big. Arsenal and Spurs face each other, their assets are probably best avoided. Wolves have a tasty home fixture but would anyone dare risk the armband on a player from such an inconsistent team?
Like Joccki, my initial thought was Pogba, but I'm becoming more and more tempted by Hazard.
Hazard (C)
Pogba (V)

Re: GW29 Captain
Need a bit of a differential as falling miles behind, so probably risk Hazard (over Salah or Pog).
He was taken off early very last night though, so perhaps a bad choice?

You could argue he was saved some energy for the next game.
Probably Salah again for me, hoping for more luck.
And hattricks.

Have Salah, Kun, Pogba and Rashford (VC) but will bring in Hazard (C) for the captaincy. I never get it right with him so stay clear lads.

Re: GW29 Captain
The plan was Kane as Arse are shite at the back (all inyourendos intended), but currently on Pog. Is Kane to Lulu really mad?
I'm rather tempted by Salah to Sterling and Capt'ing him, then TAA as 3rd Lpool defender in the next GW or so.

Probably Aguero (c), Pogba (vc). Bournemouth can be leaky against the top sides.

Re: GW29 Captain
Since around Christmas, Bournemouth's results against the top sides:
Liverpool (H) 0-4
Spurs (a) 5-0
Man United (a) 4-1
Chelsea (H) 4-0 victory!
Liverpool (a) 3-0
Arsenal (a) 5-1
I really can't see past a City player, especially given that I've just noticed there's no CL for them and they've a full week's rest before their next league game.

Re: GW29 Captain
Any news on your defenders? Mendy was due to start a few weeks back, but was pulled out a a few hours before....
(This is kinda relevant as it might influence my Salah to Sterling move and the upgrades elsewhere.)

Re: GW29 Captain
Mendy was an unusued sub on the bench last night. He'll probably get injured in training again this week. Or doing something stupid on social media.
Stones "back soon" according to Pep. Fingers crossed that means this weekend. Can't see Kompany getting through three games in seven days.
The Door should be back for Fulham(a) in GW32.
Delph no idea.

Don't have either Aguero or Sterling but my vote has gone to Sterling by some distance. He's definitely going to start and probably play 90.

Going with Pogba, although Salah is due a haul soon and the Merseyside Derby would a big occasion for it.

Cheers. My handle is one I had a long time ago when I used to frequent a bunch of Football Manager forums. It's a play on half a byte being called a nibble and I had the nickname of Dibble at school after the goalkeeper Andy Dibble!raoul wrote: ↑28 Feb 2019, 15:46welcome to Fiso.
