GW 27 Captaincy (Deadline: 22/02, 18:45)
I know it's a tad early with the break, but I feel it's probably one of the harder weeks to decide outside of Aubameyang - so maybe there's some mileage to the discussion!
Just a small reminder Auba blanked against Southampton at the reverse fixture which Arsenal lost 3-2.

Transfers are now precious to me for building a team for BGW31, so Aguero can warm the bench in 27 and Captain Son can sail the ship

Really tricky one this GW, I think. I currently have it on Son. Aubameyang obviously a strong candidate, but I don't have him and don't want to give up Aguero just for one week. Pogba and Salah remain decent options too, for my money.

Re: GW 27 Captaincy (Deadline: 22/02, 18:45)
I was tempted with Anderson, as on his day he's great, but West Ham (kind of like Wolves) are a frustrating team as I feel you never which version of the team's going to show up!
So have swapped to Son and Anderson as VC.
I feel Son's energy levels and the fact he's played in 3 tournaments since the start of the Summer should've caught up with him by now... but no he's still sprinting deep into stoppage time and not looking to break a sweat! Here's hoping he fills his boots at Burnley!
I think this will be the most interesting gameweek of the season, in terms of captaincy. My initial thoughts are Man U and Liverpool will be a tight game, with neither wanting to lose and arguably United in better form.

I have 2 transfers and am contemplating bringing in Arnoutovic for one game, replacing Aguero then reversing the transfer the following GW.

Burnley's defence has significantly tightened up and with Heaton back between the sticks as well picking Son as captain is inherently risky IMO.

Re: GW 27 Captaincy (Deadline: 22/02, 18:45)
This is quite interesting as for quite a while now, many have considered Auba to be the go-to captain in GW27. Due to Kun form, many have abandoned this. I have to say, as a non-Aguero owner, I hope Auba runs riot. It would only be fair, Aguero has now done enough rank damage to last the season!
Auba(c). Son(vc).
Auba(c). Son(vc).

I was on Auba but after Arsenals shocking performance last night against Bate (yes I know Auba didn't play), I'm not sure I can trust them as a team. Son is the obvious choice, he has form and one should always captain form!
May switch to Son C, Anderson VC.

I feel I’m still slightly burned on Auba after bringing him in and captaining him against Huddersfield at home and him scraping an assist.
The kind of fixture you probably could have justified a TC on, too.

Lacazette picking up a red carded against BATE changes everything. Aubamayang actually started on the bench for the 1st leg, but due to the result the 2nd game now takes on massive importance with Aubamayang more than likely having to play 90 Mins.
With Southampton just a few days after the Europa tie on Thurs I'd expect Lacazette to 100 % start and Aubamayang now the one being benched.

Not sure about that. I have the option of getting either player in and I'd expect Auba to play against Southampton and be benched at Bournemouth because he'll be expected to play vs Spurs 3 days later. Auba could easily play all the games he's fit for. He's had a reasonable rest.

Well we'll know exactly what Aubameyang played in the Europa before the GW27 deadline so will be able to make that decision with more information then.Goooo Rickie wrote: ↑16 Feb 2019, 08:23 Lacazette picking up a red carded against BATE changes everything. If my strategy is to use FT’s only for GW31 players from here on in, I’ll be going Salah captain this week.
If not, Auba or Laca in for Aguero and captain.

Coin toss between Son and Anderson, for me.
Think one of my Man United or Liverpool players may well haul, but tough to predict which one. Not sure which way that game will go.
