Fear of transfers? He's gained 10% a month, and my guess is that he'll get close if he doesn't overtake Trippier in the next 4 weeks.

But then hopefully not as I don't see many CS's for them in their next run of fixtures.

Alonso is suffering by emerging later than other expensive(ish) defenders when teams are settled and the trigger happy are eyeing up the latest forward/Hazard. I only switched when/because Mendy broke.

What do you mean emerged? All those screen grabs have got the player scores as well as their %age selected and he's been amongst the top scorers since week 1. Just like last season:

Chelsea, and especially their defence weren't rated preseason?

It looks like the non-starting the season Eden was their only other player over 10% as now, but is over 40.

Early doors his points were more from KCs and it was Liverpool and City who were getting the CSs with Mendy and Robertson also getting KCs so seemed the more reliable bets.

As I remember it....

EDIT Just looked up his pts and discovered the new(?) break down stats on the TFF app where you can see a full breakdown of how he got his pts each week. Alonso and app both very impressive! He has indeed scored consistently but only got 1 CS in first 3 weeks and Chelsea weren't looking that great overall. I remember wanting him but not being able to justify selling anyone to get him, my dross having mostly gone for Mendy.

He stayed out of most of my starting 11s as per the above. As I read the Sari reports pre-season, the 4-3-3 he favoured was supposed to see the full backs play more traditionally I.e. as defenders. That looked nonesense the first few games but now it seems closer to the truth. Alonso continues to appeal for me but for slightly different reasons.

Those reports were actually myth as he had one attacking at Napoli, and yes the left one. Apparently Alonso has been more defensive lately, but I think it is the midfield trio which is causing this as they aren't as good (relative to opponents) as Napoli were.

He “Mendied” his way in to most of my teams so it would be nice if the points could continue one way or another. A clean sheet every second game, a KC I in 3 games and 2 or 3 goals as a cherry on top delivers the same points as last year(ish). That feels doable from the games I’ve watched.

Would be tempted by Son if it wasn't for the fact that after today, Man C have a 4-1 over Spurs if you can pick the player who might play in 3 of those matches.

Son only just came back which accounts for the 6% I think.

Last night a good example of why you can take these figures with a pinch of salt. Doherty showing in 16% of team this morning....he's in a much higher percentage of good teams. Top of the Fiso league:

because Fiso people know...
But more seriously, there will be many ghost or abandoned teams by this time, so the ownership is biased towards the popular players at the beginning of the season, when Doherty was pretty unknown. Another example of this is Kane, still in 20% of teams, you have to think all those are abandoned teams
