TFF chit chat 1st, 2nd and 3rd January
TUESDAY 1ST JANUARY
Everton 12:30 Leicester
The New Years Day early fixture sees a clash between Everton and Leicester. Only a single point separates these two teams in the league. Leicester appear to be able to beat the big boys but lose against the minnows. Everton have the twin pronged attack of Richarlison and Siggy.
Arsenal 15:00 Fulham
The sole 3 o'clock is a London derby. Arsenal were looking good about a month ago but their form has drastically dropped since then. Fulham had a win at the weekend but nearly paid the penalty of a missed penalty.
Cardiff 17:30 Tottenham
The late match takes us to Welsh Wales where Cardiff are playing at the Cardiff Stadium and their opponents today are Spurs. Tottenham’s title challenge has fallen away lately after looking so promising for a while. Cardiff are still outside the bottom three.
WEDNESDAY 2ND JANUARY
Bournemouth 19:45 Watford
The first of the Wednesday evening matches has the Watford rollercoaster making it's way to the south Coast to take on Bournemouth. Watford got a draw last time out, will they go one better today? Bournemouth are still in a slump and Wilson is off form recently.
Chelsea 19:45 Southampton
Down at Stamford Bridge, Southampton are the visitors. The new manager bounce has started to fade for the Saints. Hojbjerg saw red at the weekend so is out today. Chelsea will be hoping for a win tonight to keep up their title challenge. Will they play a recognised striker again?
Huddersfield 19:45 Burnley
A real six-pointer next featuring two teams firmly lodged in the bottom three. Huddersfield had a terrible 2018 so will be hoping for a more prosperous 2019. Burnley recorded a win at the weekend and will be looking to build on that result here.
West Ham 19:45 Brighton
In East London, Brighton are the visitors. West Ham suffered a surprise defeat last time out but should be boosted by the return of Arnautovic. Brighton have discovered that there are more players other than Glenn Murray who can score goals for them.
Wolves 19:45 Crystal Palace
Wolves probably recorded the shock result of the season so far by putting three past Spurs at Wembley on Saturday. Palace are still hovering around the relegation zone and would probably be looking to get a result here.
Newcastle 20:00 Man Utd
A month ago Newcastle would have fancied their chances against United, now however they will be looking at damage limitation. OGS has certainly revitalised Man Utd since his arrival by employing a few subtle tweaks. Bailly suspended.
THURSDAY 3RD JANUARY
Man City 20:00 Liverpool
And finally, the Premier League decider. Pep knows that City must win tonight so a goal from Aguero on Sunday was quite timely for City. History says that Liverpool have lead the league before at this time of year but slipped away. Salah is back to his best.

Happy new year morganb and Fiso!
My teams need to move from tortoise stagnation into hare like sprint mode. My teams have been around 2k mark for weeks.

Only just realised Jimenez for Wolves is only 3.7m so he's coming in today for Laporte who is pissing me off.

HNY one and all. Sitting on my hands today. Have a feeling Aubameyang will be benched for the three o'clocker though.

Re: TFF chit chat 1st, 2nd and 3rd January
I've been getting rid of my Jiminezi. Don't think I'd do Laporte to him this weekend if it means missing out on any Laportes points. But then again how many points is he likely to get verses Liverpool. So much resting on the game would normally mean a cagey 0.0. But with these two teams it's more likely to be a goal fest, especially as For Man C a draw isn't enough.

I'm saying NO to the Trippier KC on the first bit of door removal. Bit of ping pong between Arry and the defender.

Any possible KCs for Aubameyang (my only interest in that game) today?

Question now is whether to keep Aubameyang in case he starts in the Cup?

If not there's a few 3 for 0s over Kane. West Ham and Chelsea have three home games but who to choose....Morata? will Arnie start all three?
